Question about training

Hey!

I'm now training since 6 months. I'm 6' tall and 138lbs. I just want to gain weight/mass. 165lbs would be the goal to reach but i'm not able to gain enough mass. So i have some question and i hope you could help me.
-is it better to train more than resting or rest more than training?
-is it better to use heavy weight and do 4-8 reps or use normal weight and do more reps?
-how many exercise per body part should i do?
-how many time per day should i train

If you have any tricks for me who could help i would appreciate.

Training 3 or 4 times a week will be fine.

Incorporating a full body workout, im sure someone else around here can help you with that.

Perhaps most important is your diet. Sounds like your probably not eating enough and of the right foods?

You can change your repetetions so that for one day you might do 6 and another 12 just for some variety..

have a read of the stickies in the weight lifting and nutrition sections where all your questions and more will be answered. If you have any specific questions after that then come and ask.
 
If your wanting to gain weight mate, eat! Its simple ;)

You must be very slim for 6' 138lbs, as im 6'2" and last time i looked was 213lbs and im not exactly huge!

Say for example if your consuming 2000 cals at the moment daily, add 1000 to those man! Trust me you wont get fat, youll put on that muscle with the correct training.

Nuts are a good source to pack in those extra cals.
