Question about running and sleep

Ok...

So the last too weeks ive been running everyday for about 30 minutes, im probably gunna step it up to 45 minutes now. I don't have any problems after running, no soreness, or after-affects that hurt me at all as far as physical pain goes, but i noticed after i get back from school (3:30 isH) I'll take a 3 hour nap now.

It isnt bothering me at all...I actually kind of like it, but is all the tiredness and sleeping after school a result from the running? Thanks

Hell, school it self is tiring enough to make someone want to take a nap.

I highly doubt the running it self is making you that tired, though, How intensely are you running, And when exactly are you running?
As well do you believe your diet for that day enough to supply you with the energy/fuel you need?

EDIT
Are you getting good 6-8 hour sleep the previous night?

Probably is. If it started when your running routine started then it is probably linked. Do you take any recovery days? If not, then you should. Even marathon runners don't run everyday because eventually running does take its toll on the body. Try to sleep 8 hours at night and take a 30 minute or 60 minute nap after working out.

Night sleep is important as the fellows have pointed out...I personally think a 3 hour nap is too long, naps shouldn't be more than 30 minutes long

I agree with Silent here, check your diet. i used to eat decently but felt really tired after school. then i worked on my diet and felt really energized afterwards. Also, check your sleeping pattern. That is a big factor, at least for me, because your body works better when it adapts to things such as a frequent sleeping pattern(meaning bed every night at a set time, then waking up every morning at a set time.)
Good luck
