Question about New Rules of Lifting for Women

In stage 7 of the workouts, almost every exercises list that the reader should be doing 4 sets of 15-20 reps. Why do they recommend so many?

And since you opened this thread...Has anyone read this lately? I know it has been discussed in the past but I didn't find anything recently. If you have, what do you think? Did you like it? We're you dissapointed? Did you feel like you've already read the information somewhere else?

Also, was he trying to say that everyone can build muscle and lose fat at the same time? It seemed to me he was, especially when he mentioned something about loose clothing being a sign you've lost fat and gained muscle. Is that what he is saying or did I miss something?

I honestly hated the original book - it really didn't give good explanations on much of anything - and it bugs the crap out of me that he wrote thewomen's book - becuase it's said so often that there's no difference than the way men or women should lift...

IF you search on posts started by Leigh P. - she had a thread about this book somewhere - she's seemed to be a fan of the book -and the author has his own forum where you can ask questions

I thought it odd too but I suppose he wanted to write for women in order emphasis this fact. And he figured if he put women in the title they would buy his book. I'm betting that was the main reason.
