Question about how to get a program reviewed

Question: how to get pull-ups/chin-ups program reviewed

Hi guys,

I am kind of new here and I have a question. I have this friend who put together a couple of web sites dedicated to how to improve your pull-ups chin-ups numbers. The sites present variations of the same program and provide a training schedule. I don't want to spam the forums but I want some opinions back. My advice for him was to present there more than one training program and kind of compare them and let people decide.
My question is where should I post the links to the web sites in such a way people won't think this is spam? I would like to help my friend and also ensure that good advice is on those sites. Is it ok if I post them here?

Pull-ups and chin-up training

Okay, since nobody said no, I guess I will just put the links here and see the reaction. Here they are:




Comments, critique, suggestions for alternate programs are welcome. My goal is to help my friend build something useful. Be tough but don't shoot the pianist (that would be me): :laughing2:

Are you the guy behind those sites? They look similar despite different names. My questions :-

- Who is the target audience for your program? E.g. those trying to gain strength, improve endurance, lose fat or which group?
- Is that pushups and chinups/pullups every day?
- Workout routines incorporate pullups/chinups/dips so what would you say to those on a program that already includes what you are trying to put together?

All valid questions even if some of them are answered above and on the sites.

- I am not the guy behind the sites, I am more or less a friend of the owner of these sites
- The target audience is stated on the sites - people who want to improve the number of pull-ups/chin-ups they can do in a set. I don't think pull-ups are the preferred way to lose fat ;-). Strength and endurance and boasting rights might be better reasons for that.
- It is push-ups + chin-ups/pull-ups every day, 5 days a week for as long as you feel the program is good for you. The sites recommend 8 weeks if I am not wrong.
- I would say to the people who already workout what everybody says about following specialized targeted training programs for a while: take it easier on the rest of the body.
- The sites are meant to be very similar, just variations: pull-ups vs. chin-ups programs

Just as a background the guy who built these sites is a fan of bodyweight training. He got the idea for the sites form a similar site promoting a program to improve the number of push-ups (100 push-ups site I think). My involvement with this is a bunch of chats with him and my idea that I might help him add value to those sites.

Good luck with the program. Personally I'm not a fan of just bodyweight or the 100 pushup club etc. Have you had complete newbies join the program and tell you their results after 8 weeks? I would rather a newbie joined a program with bodyweight plus the normal lifts (squat, deads, bench, military press, power clean etc) as he/she would build up total body strength.
