Quadricep Pain...

Two weekends ago I took part in an awesome 4 vs 4 flag football game. It was the first physically demanding thing I had done in about two weeks, and the first hard workout of my legs in a while. Each play I would come off the line running hard, working the fast twitch muscle fibers hard. The game was great, and I know I overexerted myself as I was sore for about 3 days afterwards, but that isn't the problem. After my body got over its regular soreness, I felt fine under normal conditions. Walking and jogging my legs would feel fine, but jumping hard or starting in say a sprint I would get a sharp pain in both my quadriceps. Also, after I did something to create the feeling, the pain would linger for about 5 minutes. Last weekend I tried playing football again, I slowed it down, hoping I could stretch out and limber up a bit. No such luck, as every time I took off I got a sharp pain in them. Even now, nearly 2 weeks later I am having the same pains, though not QUITE as severe. I was wondering what you all might think this is, and if its anything I should feel worried about.

Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance for the advice!

-Greg.
