Hello my fellow fat fighting lovelies.

The prodigal manatee has returned! For those who don't remember me and my crumpet addiction--I'm Hana! I've been here many, many times before. Some times I've been successful, others...well, not so much.

So, a bit about me. I'm 24 and work as a Residential Social Services officer at a children's home. It's hard. It involves eating whatever is made by the cook (who adores making mac n cheese, burgers, pies, etc.) and lots of 24 hour shifts. But it's a pretty groovy job.

I live with my American chap who adores all things greasy and never puts on more than a pound. All I have to do is look at pizza and I put on 6. And then I eat it anyway.

So I'm here to try and kick some ass. I lost 50lbs in 5 months last time I was here & then put it all back on. I'm 5'10 so want to be about 170. I'm currently 210lbs.

I'm also trying to quit smoking using Champix which has fucking horrible side-effects so maybe not the best time to start a diet but what the hell!

Breakfast: toast with dairylea slice (320)
Lunch: ham and salad sandwich (250) crisps (130) alpen bar (70)
Dinner: pasta (200) crisps :( (350)

Yay!! It's always nice to see familiar faces again. :D I was gone for a couple months, put on like 15 lbs. Argh! But, I'm back too...fighting the fat! Glad you're back, Hana!

Been a course today--was horrific. It's called Team Teach and it's basically a way of "defending" yourself when the kids we work with attack us. But was just so awkward and horrible. Sigh. No confidence. Feel whale-esque and wobbly today. Mmm, sexy. Forgot to take lunch so had to get a sammich. 600 fucking calories. So ate half and chucked the rest. Felt vile!

Off to smoking clinic soon!

Breakfast: alpen bar (70)
Lunch: 1/2 a sammich (301) crisps (131) special k bar (65)
Dinner: sausage and salami casserole with olives, red/yellow peppers and tomatoes (680) a frozen curly wurly (130)

Your course doesn't sound fun today - I guess it's important though, right?

I hope the Smoking clinic went well.
 
Smoking Clinic was fab--I had a carbon monoxide reading of 5! It was 34 last time I went 2 weeks ago. Really pleased. 3 days until my "official" quit date as well--well ahead of schedule! Hoping I wont start eating instead ;) You have to have these Champix pills on a full stomach otherwise you puke everywhere so need to eat lots of healthy stuff instead of crap!

I bought these "curly wurly" chocolate bars the other day (when I was still in fat mentality) and I couldn't throw them out when the diet started. So I froze them! Had one as a snack after dinner last night & it took me like 30 mins to eat! And was gorgeous. So have frozen the rest now & will have them as little cold treats :)

Right, off to my second day in the 7th circle of hell that is Team Teach. Better wear my sports bra to keep my bad boys down whilst we're practicing "straddles." Vaguely erotic--mostly just horrible.

Working a late today which means I'm the mercy of the Unit's cook! Dun dun dunnnnnnn.

Hoping there is a healthy option!

I need to freeze some chocolate. I did that last year at some point, and it is nice. Thanks for the reminder! Great job on calories and exercise yesterday. I hope there's a healthy dinner option for you. Good luck! :)
 
Frozen dessert is so goood! I use a few recipes and they are healthy too!!
I make this fudge chocolate bar for example. YUM!

They are totally healthy - just have to be conscious about portioning :D
 
Oh wow you are so hysterical Hana! I am in a bit of a bleh mood and I read your diary and laughed and laughed. I can just picture that kind of horrible team teach. A sports bra would be needed!

Hi, I'm kind of new here and I just wanted to say hi. I hear you when it comes to your guy eating anything and not gaining. My hubby is only about 10 pounds outside his ideal weight and I am trying to lose an entire extra person. LOL He tried to give me 2 slices of pizza last night. I laughed thinking what is wrong with him. heheheee I also laughed when I read about your cook there. The cook is like your nemesis. ;) It was good to meet you.

Thanks for the comments! Lovely to have support! The cook ended up making a healthy sausage casserole so all was well ;) Under 1200 calories for the day. Which will not be said about today- After a week of training and quitting smoking (DAY 7 OF NOT SMOKING!!) I am ready to celebrate the weekend & go and get my drink/pizza onnnn with my boys.

Urgh. Levels of fatness through the roof today. Quitting smoking is taking it's toll! Think I ate about 3,000 calories last night. I do like the occasional wacky baccy which doesn't help as it makes you mega hungry. And then the darling other half brought me McDonalds breakfast in bed this morning. WITHOUT ME ASKING. I've been a giant fat whale the entirety of our 5 year relationship (pretty much) and he never got me breakfast. And now I'm dieting and the food just keeps appearing. Maybe he wants to keep me fat. :willy_nilly:

And I'm supposed to be meeting a friend for lunch. Back on the wagon tomorrow. Sigh.

My son has had some wacky baccy too...only I hope not too often.:svengo:

Hope your Man is not feeding you too much.
I love and love England so much, that is the only place I would love to go,..I watch all the shows I can from there...like Upstairs Downstairs...anything like that.

Yes what is wrong with them? :iagree: I got off work and the first thing my hubby sent in text was that he was happy he would see me soon then that he could go for a tremendous juicy cheese burger. I was all OMG. Seriously? LOL! I texted back no that I was eating Minny Wheat cereal for dinner...and I did. heheheheee

Yes, the men are evil. Mine has the dreaded man-flu now so no risk of him venturing out to buy me any treats ;)

Sorry for not posting--been on a 24 hour shift and then sleeeeept for ages. Am pooped! I'm avoiding the scales until next week as I'm away this weekend for my dad's birthday. Am so tired--these 24 hour shifts are not good!! Was good at work though and just had a jacket potato. Will be doing the same at work tonight as well :D
