Put that down, fatty! (For the last time!!)

Ohhhhhhh for the love of all that is holy. I'm back *ashamed waving from behind mountain of pizza and wine*

Can't believe I've still not lost anything, after so many attempts. Utterly disappointing & I have no excuse.

I was here back in 2010 at the tender age of 20/21 and I lost 40lbs--taking me from a size 18 to a size 12. At my littlest I was still 170lbs but was getting into my size 12's and rocking a rather Amazonian height of 5'10. I did this with Weight Watchers and lots of gym time and I lost it in 5 months so at quite a speedy rate. I looked bangin'

Anyway, lost all that weight, left Weight Watchers because I was at target and left the forum here. Epic mistake. Put everything plus 10 pounds back on again and it's been a constant struggle ever since. Have posted here numerous times with renewed bursts of enthusiasm only to drop off the face of the planet.

I have some obstacles.

1. I like wine. A lot. I have up to a bottle an evening and by up to I mean at least. Which I'm aware is HORRIBLY bad for me. I love cooking and always open a bottle to have a glass whilst preparing my foods and then end up drinking it all. When I lost all the weight last time I was down to about a glass a day and this suited me fine. The slowing down on the booze usually comes naturally when I get into the swing of dieting.

2. I work insane hours and at very random times at my full-time job. I work at a Residential Children's Home for kids in care with behavioral problems. It's a lot of sitting and waiting though, in between bursts of random assaults and chaos! I work shifts between 7:30am-15:00 or 14:30-22:30. I eat my meals at work when I'm at work. I get no say in what I eat unless I make it myself which is hard when it's busy and people think I'm a bit weird for doing it.

3. I work at a Hospital part-time on top of my full-time job as a Health Care Support Worker. I'm saving for a house with my American Yank-faced partner and this apparently means saving a butt-ton of money. So on average I'm working around 55 hours a week every week. I don't drive so my commute is 45 mins each way at least. I'm not home very much at the moment!

4. I love cooking. But I love cooking mac and cheese, burgers topped with halloumi cheese, bacon and chicken salads with ranch, pesto pasta with black olives and smoked sausage and NOM NOM NOM NOM...Now I'm hungry.

5. On top of all that work I'm doing a Diploma in Health and Social Care so am working on that when I'm not working at work. WORKKKK.

So, lovely people of WLF. You helped me once--Now can you help me again?!

I'll be posting very honestly and focusing lots on how many steps I've walked because now I'm working at the hospital I seem to be doing a rather ridonkulous amount of steps on those shifts (25,000 in 8 hours!! I shit you not!)

I'm at about 220 right now.. I think. I'm not sure.... *goes to check* AHHHHHH 222lbs. Which is the fattest I've ever been. Tonight is unfortunately a bit of a write off due to the fact that I'm already part way through a bottle of wine (this is my first day off in 2 weeks...I've mostly sat and thought about whether buying a house is worth this exhausting lifestyle!!) but from tomorrow I will be a reformed character...She says, hopefully.

So here is my horrible food for the day! I must hold myself accountable so here goes! I'm hoping today will be so painfully hideous in terms of eating that I will feel so repulsed with myself and the fact I have put my food online, for all to see, that I might just stop being such a wine-guzzling, cheese eating piggy.

Breakfast: slept through
Lunch: 6 slices of bread (small slices? Yeah...but still..jeez..), (600) 3 slices of ham (105) and a big ol' grab of cheese (260) Toasted. In a machine. Delicious.
Dinner: Chicken Kiev (343) roasted new potatoes (120) savory rice (189)
Booooooze: Bottle of wine (630) sunflower seeds (175)

Total: 2422
Steps: 7044 (372) calls burned

Also, must add the story as to why I am back on the forum..

I had to be a Bridesmaid for my friend's wedding a few weeks ago and I had a dress, obviously. Had to have it taken out as giant, child-bearing manatee hips were too big for already giant dress (my friend went to get pains to tell me that it was ALREADY a size 18 and I couldn't POSSIBLY be any fatter than that).

Anyway, it fit okay if I didn't breathe & I figured it would be fine. I bent down on the morning of the wedding to pick up a small child and dress ripped down the side COMPLETELY. We're talking a good 10 inch slit of Hana's Giant Granny Knickers that were designed to keep in manatee tummy being on show to the whole wedding party, all day. It was humiliating. Hilarious, looking back but actually humiliating, especially as the photographer said she could photoshop my giant pants out so my friend just told me carry on as if it was all fine!!!

When I'm brave enough I'll post a photo of me in the giant dress. Looking like a giant purple plum. With granny knickers on.

I solemnly swear to never rip another dress ever again. EVER!

You're back! Awesome. I came back a couple months ago. I've determined that I can't stay away from here without my ass getting bigger, so here I am. lol!

Glad you're back! :)

Edit... just read the bridesmaid story... (((hugs)))

WELCOME BAAACK!!!

That bridesmaid story blows. Sorry!

For the sake of solidarity:
Last year my back was doing awful and I was going for a swim in my cousin's above ground pool. Everyone else was in already and I was just over to the pool side of the double ladder when the ladder broke in two under my weight. I fell into the pool without puncturing or collapsing it, but now we are stuck in this softside pool with no ladder. We had to stay in the pool while my wife went to shop for a new ladder (wasn't swimming). No pool ladder in stock so she comes back with two step ladders as they aren't tall enough to clear the pool edge. One ladder in the pool and one out and I balance between the two and manage to get out without further injuring my back. I ordered a new ladder on line and had it shipped to the house. I have not been swimming there since. Not my finest hour.

Q--that actually makes me feel better! Glad I'm not the only one who has felt rather silly :p

Right, today is the day! I've woken up for my early with a bit of a hangover and after not enough sleep but I feel positive! No more filling myself with rubbish..

Hiiiiii Hana welcome back!!

First of all, that dress story... You poor thing! That must of been hard but that's life! So don't be fretting. I remember in school this really thin girl in my class ripped her pants at the back when she was going to sit down! So it happens to really skinny people too

Also you go through a bottle of wine while cooking your dinner? You are hilarious! Hahahahaha that defo needs to stop!

What age are you? I think we are of similar age, I'm 24!

Oh that dress story sounds horrible :-( But if that isn't some powerful motivation then I don't know what is! Welcome back!

Irish--It was so awkward. Felt like the fattest whale in the world and it shows in the pictures.. No confidence at all. Very unlike me! I'm usually so outgoing.. Stupid manatee hips. I've just turned 25 in September so we are very close! And close in weight as well! Except you have lost 22.5 lbs and I've lost NOTHINGGGG.

Oaks--Thanks for the welcome back! You're right--Was the kick up the bumoley that I needed. No more excuses.

Eating is going fab so far. I've eaten lots of fruit and had some ryvitas for lunch so on course for a good day...If I can only avoid the wiiiiiiine. Not brought any though and have healthy Gin and Slimline tonic at home. If only it was as tasty! Not sure what to do for dinner either.........Rice and something, probably. Or maybe chilli...Mmm chilli.

Will update later when I'm finished for the day ^_^ xo

Welcome back!!!

My feeling on embarrassment and getting angry at yourself for gaining weight is that it can be a positive up to a point as a motivator, and then you just have to let it go. I'm _still_ mad at myself for gaining all the weight even now, but when I start kicking myself too much I take a step back and focus on the good.

Thanks MrVee--That makes a lot of sense. Hard not to get bogged down in the negatives. Must be positive that I'm resolved to do it all over again. I guess now I know I can do it--I've done it before--Now just time to do whatever I did last time, again!

Chilli for dinner tonight--even the cats are having healthy dinner, fresh salmon for them!

Look how happy Luca-Marie is about it...

Also, this is me now.

Wish I still had my pink hair... The hospital said it wasn't appropriate. Curses. I had the lilac colour all ready to go as well!

Will post my noms later ^_^

1. That pic of you is tiny, but from what I can tell you look great.

2. That look from your cat is "Why the hell am I wearing a sweater?!" :p

My cats would take my head off if I tried to do that whereas my dogs would just look at me with disdain and sad eyes, then immediately find the messiest thing to roll around in.

The bridesmaid story is harsh, but do n't worry everyone probably has an embarrassing or horrible moment linked to their weight.

Welcome back :) Sorry to hear about the bridesmaid story .. that would have been awful!
I was a bridesmaid last year - I was in so many sucker-holder-inner-granny-garments I couldn't breathe.. I fell over from lack of oxygen at one point!

Ahhh, don't get me started on my cats. I'm slightly in love with them. They are partially deaf rescue brothers so are kept indoors all the time. I harnessed trained them so they can go outside and as a result they are quite happy with various humiliating outfits. Luca-Marie loves it more than The Judge so don't have any snaps of him in his jumpers!

Thanks everyone for making me feel better about the bridesmaid experience, feel so much better knowing you have all been humiliated also ;)

Excited for day 2--feeling positive still!

XO

Welcome back Sunflower!!

Ooh your cat is adorable. I love kitties, I have 2 crazies still. Funny things.

Sorry about your bridesmaid experience! How awful for you at the time, glad you can laugh about it now.

Jeez your life sounds really busy too!

Ouch - the bridesmade story is tough - but if it serves as a wake-up, it's worth it. Maybe? Reminds me of our wedding where one of my wife's friends - a very vain and festidious man - was dancing in his black pants which split to reveal his white underwear. One of the many highlights of that night!

I can't even fathom trying to dress either of my cats, though it's pretty funny to think about how upset they'd be.

I have two small dogs that my wife hasn't dressed yet. I have 3 cats that would be strays if not for us feeding and neutering them. I don't like outside cats, but I'm too allergic to have them inside and too nice to not take them in. They are pretty cool cats actually and keep the mice and squirrels out of my shed.

This is a link to Juno as a kitten. He doesn't have the blue eyes any more, but the "M" on his head is even more prominent.
