pushups

Is it beneficial to do push ups every night before bed or is it just a waste of time. I get the urge to do 50-75 push ups before I go to bed, but I wasn't sure if I should just save that energy for my chest days.
 
probably none... I just get bursts of energy sometimes right before I go to bed. That's how I deal with it. I just didn't know if would effect my normal workout routine.
 
Pushups are like other exercises, they shouldn't be done on back to back days. If you've got this burst of energy, change up the way you expend it. Jump rope, job, do "up/downs", jumping jacks, weightless squats, sit-ups etc.
