pull ups pyramid which bar to use?

I presently use 3 different bars when doing pull ups/chin ups. I do one set of each and repeat 3 times. I like using each of the bars.

I've been stuck at around 10 pull ups for a while now and having read about pull up pyramid training I intend to give it a go from tomorrow.

I would like some advice about the following.

1. How do I incorporate each of the 3 bars into the pyramid?

2. How many days a week should I do pyramid training?

Any help appreciated.

So...what sort of bars are you referring to? Pull-up bars? Why do you have 3? I assume I'm missing something, but don't know what it is.

I go to a gym. The equipment they have has three different bars, 2 are for pull ups and 1 for chin ups. It isn't just a straight bar but 3 bars set at different angles.

I suppose it could be describesdas having no bar as such but having 6 handles, 3 for your left hand and three for your right. The handles being set at different angles

I guess I'm not really explaining this well. When I go today I'll look for it's name and try to find a picture on the internet.

I usually use each of the bars to exercise as wide a variety of muscles as possible

I've seen those contraptions :) You can do tricep dips on them too, correct?

Is there a "normal" bar in the gym where you can just hang on and do your chin ups/pull ups? Sometimes you'll find a suitable bar between a single piece of equipment with two weight stacks at end where and you'll see people doing cable machine crossovers ;)

Ahhh, yep. The wide-grip, straight bar and palms-in grips, I assume.

Why don't you just vary your pullup routine? For example, do 3 sets of wide-grip pullups for a week, then change. You may not be getting the results you want since you're not really focusing on any of them. Just a thought.

Barring that, take a look at this:

Mix it up by bar as needed. (Bar A: Monday, Bar B: Wednesday, etc.). I'm not sure I'd really go that direction, but it might be what you're looking for.

Good luck.

Can't post a link yet but it's by life fitness and seems to be called a signature series cable motion. Today I just did a set using each bar.

Thanks for the replies and links.
