proper ab workout?

im not sure if i am doing an ab workout right, i feel burning as im doing the crunches and leg lifts, but after the workout or even a couple minutes later i cant feel anything anymore, should i? am i not doing enough sets, i normally do 3 or 15 leg lifts or 3 of 20 crunches
 
try adding a weight plate on top of your chest if the crunches are too easy. And, work you obliques with side crunches or side bridges also.

Don't forget you lower back (erector spinae) and transverse abdominis to round off your core work.
 
Yes...you are doing a normal ab workout. You don't have to be hurting adn extrmem pain for assurance. Why do we give assinine advice here???

The burning is simply lactic acid buidl-up...it only lasts 30 seconds or so.
