Wanted to come back and update on my progress. I've lost 20 lbs and I plan to lose another 20 which will put me at 165 and I'm 5'7. do you think that is a reasonable goal based on my current photos and stats? should I plan to lose more? my main goal is to fit into this size 10 jean i have hanging in my closet... taunting mee lol. I appreciate any feed back and advice guys. thanks!

You already look terrific, great job so far. I think another 20 pounds (assuming you're doing it with a good mix of healthy eating, calisthenics/weights & aerobic, blah blah blah) is a fine goal. You may find you're happy losing even less, though, so like many others I'd say don't focus on a number as much, and more on how those jeans fit, how much further you can run, pushups you can do, etc. That's just what has worked for me, anyway, psychologically. Everybody's different, just my 2 cents!

Thanks for the helpful input. I agree I wont be so worried about that number and more about how I feel. Changing the way I think about food has definitely been a large contributing factor and has mainly been cutting out carbs and sugar. I still enjoy these things in moderation but just more aware of it. I've been told that simply building muscle can make the fit of clothes better because it makes you leaner.. though you may not weigh less on the scale (not important) you have muscle instead of fat which is heavier and more compact. So becoming stronger is something I'd like to achieve as well.. question; the only weights I have are two 25lb weights.. I can manage to do a bit of resistance with them but not for long spurts.. do you think working with something that is just a little too heavy will hinder me getting stronger? Or working little at a time would I eventually become stronger from it even though it wares me out relatively quickly.. thanks again!

Hey, that's great to hear. Yeah, if you can't do too many reps on the 25, I'd try something a little lighter. To be honest, I'd just try doing some "chair" squats, pushups and planks, even, but if you can buy a lighter set of weights... I always heard/believed you should work with something you can do approx 10-12 reps at a time. Keep up the good work!
