proform xp-160 a/c adapter

I just bought a proform xp-160 elliptical machine and would like to buy an a/c adapter for it instead of using batteries all the time. Proform service won't tell me what size a/c adapter because if I buy it myself I can void the warranty. Does anyone know what size/voltage a/c adapter this machine uses? Thanks

sorry, I should have mentioned that. I talked with Proform and they'll sell one for $75 including shipping/taxes. I thought that was rather steep. I can buy a lot of D batteries for $75. I found a universal power supply that has 6 different connections for $14 at sears that I think I'll try. The lady at Proform said that would void the warranty though.:canadaf:
 
:cheeky2:Hi Don here. I have the same elliptical I also purchased the 14 $ cord , no luck and my battery part doesnt seem to be working for me either, can you tell me if your batteries are low does anything work, wondering if my curcuits r fried. thanks
