Procrastination and weight loss.

Hi everyone,
I'm a 26 male and weigh 140 kg (308 pounds). I've started a weight loss program many times but failed miserably. Reasons include binge eating, laziness, depression and a very serious case of Procrastination. In the past, I've begun weight loss many times but never lasted for more than a month.

I know everything that I have to do - What to/what not to eat, exercise, etc. but am not able to carry it out for a longer period.

The longest I've ever remained motivated and avoided procrastination was 22 days where I used to go for 1 hour walks in the evening followed by 5 sets of crunches and push ups.

Is there any way I can last longer in my weight loss program?

What might be making things worse is that I might be impatient and starting out with a lot of exercise.

Thanks in advance.

I would highly suggest following Tony Robbins method of thinking which is to apply more pain to not taking action than taking action. meaning if you don't take the actions you need to take right now you could potentially face health conditions later. let that be your motivation my friend the pain and pleasure theory is the driving force for ALL decisions that Human beings make so seeing pleasure at the end of your journey being health and alive and free of most health problems is probably the best motivation for you. Best Of Luck and don't ever give up on your goal

I gained a lot of weight on anti-depressants and finally hit 300 lbs and decided to make a life style change. Start off easy and work towards goals. It takes time to see results (especially at this size because I know) it took me three months until people started seeing my results.. but the main thing is to be patient while waiting on results. They do not come over night and patience is everything. You have to be determined. The days your body doesn't want to go to the gym.. you tell it who is boss. You are in control here! Best of luck to you and do not give up! ..oh and in 9 months I have lost 84 lbs doing hard core cardio and eating decent but not great! My diet I need to work on big time. I AS WELL LOVE FOOD! ;-)
