Problem with the Sole E35 Elliptical.

Hi, I recently purchased a Sole E35 Elliptical. After reading largely positive reviews as well as trying it out at ****'s Sporting Goods, I caved. It seemed fine at first, but every time I set foot on the damn thing it squeaks louder than a frigging banshee. I try repositioning the legs, everything to no avail. I tried to deal with it and turn my iPod up full blast, but it broke the sound barrier there, too. I had a "professional" come assemble the thing for me, so it's not something I did. I honestly cannot stand this thing's noise for more than a minute, and have only been doing my Katami ab workout as a result.

Is there anything I can do to end this? I'm seriously about to return it and get a treadmill instead at this point. Only problem is, when I thought for sure it was fine, I disposed of the box completely. So I'm not even sure I can return it.

Please help, I'm desperate.

Thanks,

Pat.

Why don't you just have the installer come back and fix it?

I'm certain there has to be some sort of warranty period for that.

Maybe quick fix

I just bought one too back in Jan and have found a sound that sounds like ours. There are two tracks in the back on both sides with rubber wheels. The tracks and wheels need to be lubricated all the time. You should have got something with the machine. After a while if the wheels and tracks are not kept lubricated they will make a loud sound. Try this frist. Second, other thing is to take off the covers of the arm and leg assembly and maybe squirt w40 at these locations. they are to moving all the time and will also make noise. Third, if you can stay off the machine and move it. try to figure out where the sound is coming from. To see if anything is rubbing together.
