preserved foods for pregnants?

i got a sister who is pregnant. she is pinned with her work to keep up with her finances. she has no time to cook a decent meal for her and the baby. she usually eats hotdogs, bacon, canned goods since it is easy to be cooked. i am bothered with her health. is it okay for her and the baby? any ideas for easy to cook food? a really good food. thanks!

never mind the cooking for a second where are the veggies(raw) and the fruit??? you don't need to cook those! your sister needs to get her diet in check now so that her bod gets enough nutrition to sustain her while her body works over time developing the baby. the mom will suffer first and baby 2nd. the chances for complicantions is greater without a proper diet, is she not getting proper prenatal care??? if not tell her to get it. google pregnacy dietary requirements and get the scoop on what she needs to eat, i'm more worried about what she is not getting as opposed to eating hotdogs and bacon. the foods she is eating now will prob. increase her weight gain, veggies fruits and such she needs to fuel her body and keep optimun growth for her baby.

She can eat bad food, baby takes whats good and all the rest, the worst of any meal goes to her body.... mostly to her hips :(

I had a baby 3 months ago and was swamped most of the time but did find time to cook something within 30 minutes or so. Quick meals. Also I would make a huge pot of soup that would last me a whole week, with some crackers, worked good. Also, she can make tuna, chicken or egg salade and take it to work for lunch. The best think is to make a plan and make something that can stay in fridge for few days.

But then again she can do so much. Pregnancy is tough, even though I tried to watch I gained 50lbs. I am stuck with another 30 lbs to lose.

It would be great if some of her family members can prepare a meal for her once in a while, I know I would've very much appreciated if somebody did something like that for me.
