Points To Note On Losing Weight Safely

To lose weight safely, firstly, You have to think about reducing the portion of food you consume daily. This may be quite a solution but not exactly the best there is. In fact, depending on the amount you reduce in your food intake, it may even be dangerous to your health. So how can you lose weight effectively and safely? Here are some points you should consider when trying to lose weight:

Beware of the Crash Diets

Most people think that cutting down the calories intake can alone shed off their unwanted excess fats. This is most likely of the fad there is in advertising about low-calorie food products and beverages. What unknown to people is that they should not reduce their calorie intake below their body's required level. When they reduce their calorie intake way below the required levels, the body begins to digest the fats. Burning fats require a lot of energy. When there is not much energy in the body to facilitate metabolism of fat, it will run at a very slow pace resulting in fatigue, illness and weak immune system.

Low-calorie diet is also compensated for by burning muscle to provide energy for the body. They will be losing muscle tissue than fats. People on this type of diet when revert back to their old eating habits, they ended up gaining more weight. In losing weight, one should keep in mind that they should lose excess body fats only.

However, you can try having six small meals at more frequent intervals. This way the body will not think that it is being starved and will not store food as fat.

Healthy Eating

Avoiding the crash diet may be an option but you should also not forget to watch what you are eating. Variety must always be considered to ensure getting the necessary nutrients from your diet. It is also healthier to choose roasted, steamed or broiled food rather than fried. Fried food contains trans fats which is unhealthy for the body. It is also important to include a lot of fiber in the diet. Frequent dehydration is also necessary.

Pump Up lean Muscle Mass

Muscles burn calories when they work even when at rest. Unlike fats which just lie around, bulge around the pants and dangle beneath the sleeves, muscles burn calories all day round. With this fact, one can start weight loss by adding weight training workout in their diet plan. Resistance training burn calories effectively. The more muscles build, the more calories the body will burn and the less fat will be left.

Aerobics

Aerobics are good for the heart by increasing cardio-vascular endurance. It also help increasing lean muscle mass while simultaneously reducing excess body fat. Apart from these, aerobics increase the metabolic process making it more efficient even after a long while. Imagine burning fat efficiently while driving along the freeway or even while watching television.

Diet Pills

Over-the-counter diet pills affect the amount of weight you lose as well as how long you can keep that amount of weight off. However, diet pills do carry a certain amount of side effects. Therefore try to follow the instructions provided for in the packaging carefully. It is also best to consult your physician before trying out these drugs and also to find out which type would be best suited for you.

Any weight loss program does not have to mean total sacrifice and suffering. It actually means opening up to a more healthy lifestyle where you can feel good about the way you look .Losing weight might entail a little adjustments plus the discomforts, but as the old saying goes, "no pain, no gain." What have you got to lose except fats ?

I think you meant "hydration is necessary" rather than dehydration :p

A small comment on the low calorie diets. Something that always steered me true was to measure my maintenance calorie count and simply undercut it by say anywhere from 500-750 calories. Given, I'm a relatively large guy with a pretty big calorie maintenance and so the number would clearly adjust for each individual, but it is important for people not to just take wild stabs in the dark regarding their calorie intake or applying someone else's calorie count to one's own.

Because our metabolisms work at different momentums and our bodies are different, catering to oneself the finer details is very important for more in-depth programs.

Nice write-up, very vital things to understand.

Amen.

People have been conditioned over the years by the diet industry (and even, unfortunately, by doctors) that "low calorie" means 1200 or 1500 calories, no matter how much you currently weigh.

People need to learn to calculate their calories based on their current weight and be healthy about it.

Yeah . What you all mention about the calorie intake for different body build is very true . Thanks for posting your comments ^_^
