Plyometric Exercises?

Does anyone have experience with doing plyometric exercises? I am curious to know how effective they are at burning fat and increasing power. Also, any recommendations on specific plyometric exercises to do? Any info you have to share will be helpful.

My question is more of inquiring if polymeric exercises are effective in weight loss, strength training, endurance etc. What type of athlete benefits from this?

I'm pretty fit and looking for a new method of exercise. I do most of my workouts at home. I run on my treadmill and use workout videos, but I'm getting bored and was looking to change it up without having to buy any more equipment. I can not find much on these types of exercise on the internet. I was looking to know if I did them what benefits would I get?
