hi, ive been working out every single day of the week for past 2 years and i havent seen any dramatic increase in muscle and im still skinny
i was wondering if anyone could help me how to get more muscle
i dont go to the gym but i have this machine at home called body works pro which i use also 5kg weights (4 time 100 times on each arm). on the machine ive been doing excercise for chest, triceps, biceps, shoulders and the muscles around the rib
ive stopped doing sit ups cause i think it makes me skinner

i wanted to know is working out hard everyday bad for ur muscles?

EDIT
im 16
im 6ft
weigh 58kg
i eat alot of meat, 1L of milk and 2-3 eggs a day (barely eat fruit)

thx in advance

Working out everyday is not necessarily bad. Working out the same muscle groups everyday is bad. Rest for a skinny guy is very, very important. Changing your body will be a combination of maturing (you are still young), eating properly, lifting heavy weights.......properly, and getting plenty of rest. Your workouts may be counterproductive if done wrong. I suggest a routine that I've mentioned on here before written by Anthony Ellis () that is specifically designed for skinny guys like us. Unfortunately it costs about $75 for his program (ask for it for your birthday or something) but it was worth it for me. But you do not need to go this route either. It will just take some more leg work on your part to learn. Start doing research and reading! And it looks like you are going to have to spend some money on more weights or join a gym that has. Maybe you can use your school gym if they have one.

Sounds like one of the mistakes you are making is that you are training with too light of weight and too high of reps. You are doing more muscle endurance not building muscle.

I would also say that you should not train every day, it seems as though it wouldn't work for a skinny guy.

But to be honest I think you bigger problem is the lack of weight you could use if you can't get to a gym.

So try and look at that one first. Get a membership and go from there.

eat more...do less reps...if you dont have access to a gym...go to walmart and buy a 40 pound dumbbell set...or find somewhere to do a few pullups.

as i said in your other thread, concentrate on squats, deadlifts, bench press, overhead press, cleans, chins, dip, etc if you want to get bigger. train the body, not parts of the body.

machines arent really that great compared to free weights, but is there a link somewhere to see what kind of machine you have to see what it looks like?

That machine is not going to help you gain much mass since it only uses your body weight as resistance, which you will max out in no time. You need to add some real resistance to your routine.

Less reps/sets, more weight. And diet is vital as well.

While you may be fit, if you're goal was to gain mass, you may have been wasting the last two years with that machine.

Can you use your school gym? You need some weight training, and 400 curls is way too much.

What kind of meat? Not all meat is good. You eat vegetables? You need lean meat, turkey chicken and fish is key. Some people really have a hard time gaining weight, so you need to be eating ALL the time, good clean foods.

thx for all the replys
i wanted to know if i do sets of same excercise am i meant to feel as if im about to die after the first set or not?
