*finally i do 10times 3sets of pullups on the 3rd set im about to collapse

i wanted to know if this routine counts as extreme workout if not should i do this everyday ?

You don't necessarily have to get sore to have had a good workout. Your body adapts as you lift more and the soreness will subside. If you are not lifting enough to need 48 hrs rest then you are not lifting enough. After any moderate amount of lifting you need 48 hrs rest. You are not getting the full benefits of your workout if you do the same thing two days in a row either from not being intense enough or not resting long enough.

In general after working out any muscle 'for gains', you need to give it 48 hours (or so) of rest.

Though light weight training (like swimming), or cardio, can be done on a daily basis (with two days of rest in a 7 day week), but you really need to watch your body, because you could be maxing out your muscles on some cardio machines like the stair master.

[edit] I don't mean 'for gains' as refering to only bulking; if your doing endurance work outs; that would also apply as 'for gains'.

You should definetly be sore for days after a workout. If your not it could mean that either your body has adapted to the exercises and/or weight performed (as tenpercent said above) or your intensity is not high enough or your form is off.

When you weight train you basically tramatize your muscle (basically tear and injure them). That is why your muscles are sore for days after your training. This is the most crucial time to consume the correct macronutrients to promote the repair/rebuild of new muscle tissue.

from Charles Staley.

"No Pain, No Problem?

The most mistaken notion in bodybuilding and strength training is the idea that training, in order to be effective, must result in high levels of pain, fatigue and soreness. Essentially you want to seek performance, which is best accomplished my managing fatigue. In other words, the intensity and volume of work determines the training effect. That work does create some level of fatigue of course, but the residual after-effects of training shouldn't be the focus. Your level of soreness doesn't predict the effectiveness of a program!"

so should i or should i not train everyday ?

also could someone pls tell me how to get "power" in my muscles cause when i arm wrestle with people in my skool they usually beat me even when they have smaller muscles than me which is embarassing
