Please please help! Weight gain.

For the past 3 days i've been out of the house a lot so unfortunately have not been eating as healthy as usual. And Friday night I had some alcohol (2 mixed drinks) which was the first time in over a month. But somehow I managed to gain 8 pounds in 2 days! How is that even possible???!! I'm so upset. Every single pound I lose feels like it takes forever but I tend to average out at about a pound a week, which doesn't mean I always lose a pound a week. I can't imagine losing an extra 8 weeks just to take off the pounds I gained in 2 days. Could this be from white bread? I've had more white bread recently but 8 pounds seems crazy right?! Also my ummm "system" hasn't been working so well. I don't know what to do and I've been chugging water like its my job for the past few days. This is worse than hitting a plateau for me. Its making me feel hopeless.
 
unless you've consumed tons of calories like 7000+ more than usual I doubt that you've gained 8lbs of fat... it's probably a mixture of water and fluids and weird stuff that goes on with the body.

Don't worry too much about it. Get back on your diet, wait a few more days, workout, drink lots of water, etc... and then see how much you weigh.
 
Thanks, yeah I was freaking out for no reason I'm back to where I was. I think I was just retaining all the water I was drinking.
