Hello everyone, I am a 37 year old, 5'3" and currently weigh 129 lbs. I have been trying desperately to lose 10 lbs and cannot seem to do it. I am a pretty fit person mountain biking, pilates, yoga, walking and running any chance I get. Recently I had terrible pain in my knees (from Lupus, but its not too severe) for about a 6 month period which reduced my workouts considerably for that time period. I ended up gaining about 9 lbs over that six months. I eat healthy too, I have not eaten sugar in almost 20 years, but on rare occasions. I eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, lean meat and healthy grains, I NEVER eat white rice, white flour, white potatoes or white pasta. This is how I have been living for at least 15 years. In January I started doing things a little different to try and lose some of the 9 lbs. I started taking a probitoc, I stopped eating carbs (my usual whole grain carbs) for dinner, having a lean meat and vegetable only, I switched my breakfast to Allbran everyday to increase my fiber. After 2 months of this, there wasn't any budge in my weight. So over the last month I cut my daily calorie intake by 250-300 calories and have increased my activity level adding a 30 minute brisk walk to my normal daily bike ride or pilates workout, AND I completely stopped drinking my beloved glass or red wine every night, only having a 4oz glass on Friday or Saturday.. :(. And now Im so frustrated I dont know what to do, I have actually gained 3 lbs over the last month, Im about to go crazy. Any an all suggestions or ideas are welcomed and appreciated.
