hi, im amy and im 15. i was the chubby one when i was little, i've streched out now and have a flat stomach but HUGE hips and ass! you may call it a 'pear shaped' or 'womanly' figure. im despretly trying to loose weight but just cant get past 10st11lb (151lb) im 5'8 and really want to be 10st. MAX.
i eat next to mothing at meals but when im making a cup of hot water ill have a bite of a biscuite or something so it all adds up
i also run for 30-60 mins every day.
how do i shift wieght off my legs and love handle area especially but loose weight all round? oh, i have a stupidly slow metabolism so and diet pills or something to spead that up?

Eating next to nothing is definately not good, you need to eat for your body to function properly. So id say first thing is to sort your nutrition out, im not expert but you need a variety of meat, fruit, veges etc. The running is great but many try doing some weight sessions also

Alright. Let's start at the begining. You can't spot lose weight. Our bodies are geneticly designed to put on weight in a certain order and remove it in the reverse order. There is no way to reduce that except for losing weight.

Second, Diet pills don't work. Anyone who comes on here claiming such are idiots (sorry, they are. Doctors are the only ones who should be suggesting pills). It's going to take focus and work.

Third, there is no possible way for you not to lose weight if all you are eating next to nothing and running almost an hour a day. Weight loss is math. Calories in needs to be less than calories out. We always underestimate the amount of calories we eat. That is because most of us don't learn what is in our food or we don't learn about portions.

Now, Let's get you on the right track. You are only about 20 pounds over the 'ideal weight' but judging by your information, I believe you shouldn't be trying to lose the weight. Before you get mad, listen. You are 15. 15 is YOUNG. You haven't even fully started shaping into the woman you will become. You are much better off learning to eat wisely and continue your running than trying to lose the weight. Creating good habits now will make your life so much easier. Becoming obsessed over your weight right now is not a good habit. So..let's start with what you eat.

For 1 week, write down EVERYTHING you eat. Don't skimp. Don't lie. Everything down to a cracker. If you know the size, put that down. If you cook it and can write down the calories from the lable, do that. After a week, you can see what you actually eat and not what you believe you ate. It's a good start.

Good post, Jericho.

In addition to that, eating less is not the way to go.

Based on your description, you seem kind of similar as I was at your age. And I did the same (eating next to nothing, main focus on cardio, predominantly running), which were about the worst things I could have done.

That only turned me into a 'skinny fat person'. I basically lost weight (lean tissue), but not fat.

You should start eating clean (whole foods), regular meals spread throughout the day, especially at your age.

In addition, simultaneously, you should go to a gym if you can, and have an instructor develop a weight training program for you (which you can do like 3 times a week).

You can still do cardio type of training in addition to that, but I would shift your main focus to weight training since you want to make a change to your 'pear shaped figure'.

That should give you a good place to start, and will change your appearance (and probably your performance and the way you feel) if you give it some time. You should see notable difference after 3 months already.

There's a lot more to say, but I think it's best to start there...
