Please....... can someone give me some good advice for working out?

Hi guys im new to the worldfitness.com.....

im not sure if i can post it here... anyway

im a guy who is some what buff and chubby @ a same time,,,,,,,

im trying to get rid of my "man boobs" and start get in shape....

i've tried jogging but every time i jog on cement sidewalk.. my ankle just killz..

can anyone recommend any work out to lose fat around my upper area and get in shape ????

plz help me...

To loose weight, you want to look at your diet first and last. Coupled with some weight lifting and cardiovascular activity you should be well on your way.
 
McCarley said it all. And if your ankle hurts while running, try swimming or an eliptical machine, because those are low to no impact.
 
The best advice I can give you is to do some active things that you find fun to do. Since running and working on a stairstepper or treadmill tend to be boring, try to find someone to play some tennis with. Perhaps find a place to play volleyball, soccer or maybe frisbee ultimate. There are casual groups that do these all over the place. The best thing would be to find something active that fits your tastes.

I'm a fan of martial arts as well as working out, so that gives me a place that I enjoy going that doubles as a good cardio workout. I even saw guys playing disc golf at a fast enough pace that it turned into a cardio workout. Very creative!

Just getting your body active on a regular basis will provide you a wealth of results. Hang in there and make sure you're having fun doing it. If you are, then you'll stick with it and that's the key to making big gains and keeping them.
