Pictures of the fat man.......

Ok.

Seems like all the cool kids are making picture threads now.
Just an FYI- on the computer I am using I do not have any older pictures of m except my 'official' progress pictures I take every 2 weeks or so. I do have a few recent however.

So....
First one is me at 255 or so. 2/6/08
Second one is the work 'glamour shot' that went up on our website and was taken sometime in Jan '08
Third one is a front view of me from 4/5/08 at 227- geez I need to take more this weekend.
Fourth is a side view from the same date.
Fifth is a picture from 4/18/08. This is the most recent one of me- not a very good one at that.
I will look through some older pictures on another computer I have and see if I can get some 'shocking' ones where I really look huge- not just the huge I am now.

I'm actually jealous of you!! It took you a couple of months to lose about 30 lbs!! It took me forever to lose 30 lbs!!:ack2:
But all jokes aside you look good! Congrats to starting this journey now and not putting it off 'til later!

Thanks.
Like I say- the first 30-35 were pretty easy for me. I do not think the remaining 25 will be quite as easy.

Thank you though.

I am inspired. I have only lost six and am feeling better already. It is funny how I can be so proud of you and I dont even know you. Than you for insperation!

we all do sweetie :)

Yes, but you know what I mean. :)
I just mean that I do not feel I look 'slimer' or 'trimer' or any other of the buzzwords that people could think of. I just look like and onion with one or two layers off. The onion is still the same shape, just smaller.....

Ah- bad mood today. Conference calls and meetings all morning- maybe its just that.
Need the attitude for this morning. :D

Layers? Onions have layers, ogres have layers...oh wait, wrong movie :)

I don't know of anyone who has lost weight who truly feels slimmer and trimmer until the very end maybe, unless they were like that to start with (which would not include yours truly).

You will get there...

Sorry about the morning...I have piles of crap waiting for me, so much for working yesterday to stay caught up...

Sorry, no idea what movie that is from. Shrek (sp?) is my best guess. :D

No body like piles of crap waiting for them at work- be they literal or figurative piles of crap.
If you didnt work yesterday it would be worse right?

Have a good morning :)

I am a teacher so I have 33 piles of crap waiting for me every day. <rimshot> Thank you very much, try the veal, tip your waitress... but seriously folks...

It was Shrek :)

You are right, if I didn't work yesterday, it would be worse.

Oh well, so far it is ok...

you don't see a huge difference between picture 1 and picture 3?
Sigh...
I see a difference. I do not see an apreciable difference in firmness. 35 lbs should get a 'holy shit' reaction from me.
I am not being self-loathing or anything like that- at least I do not think so. I still jiggle too much and am not really pleased.
New pictures this weekend. We shall see.....

Holy shit reactions are hard to come by - I've said this countless times... but I've lost close to 200lbs and do not get a holy shit difference... yes difference but looking good - No..

Well, I'd like to direct you to my pictures thread. You'll see ups and downs just like this... hell, I still have them, but it only motivates me more. Firmness won't happen until you get down the bodyfat, however, I assure you that you probably have a VERY decent set of muscles under all of it. 35 lbs did nothing for me in terms of seeing it... I didn't see anything impressive until 50 lbs... So I do understand and know where you are coming from, you aren't "crazy" even thought a hundred people have told you differently about the change. I'll never forget my first compliment... about 25 lbs or so in, one of my closest friends. She said it as we were leaving a parking lot from a movie, I thought she was nuts... it's just the little things, but I know where you are at mentally.

At least it is a normal thing.
It is just a real crap feeling working so damn hard all freaking week and then seeing a picture and wanting to just stop because there is no real difference. But then knowing you enjoy what you are doing and that it is so good for your life that you do not want to stop it. It is this dicotomy that I am dealing with right now.
I know I look better than I did 1/08. But i also think I do not look that good in 4/08.

You cannot honestly tell me that you have not had a 'holy shit' reaction after 200 lbs.....
c'mon.
