Photos of my journey: almost 30 pounds down!

So as you can all see from my journal, since August I have gone from 168lbs to 139lbs! I've gone from a pants size 12/14 to a size 6/8! My measurements are in the journal. But it feels great! Since I'm so tall ( 5'11") I'm thinking I don't want to lose much more than this (sure not aiming for size 2!), just finish firming up those few flabby areas I have left. Behold my journey in picture form! The big differences are of course the loss in belly and butt fat at first, and in the last two pictures its more subtle... mostly slimmer hips and firming of the arms and thighs.

NOTE: First person to make fun of my hot-shorts is in trouble :boxing_smiley: You have no idea how much courage it took to shimmy into those little suckers! But the yoga pants are baggy on me now and didn't show off the fact that my legs have finally slimmed down.

Just a little more work to do on those thighs I think, a tiny bit more flab on my back to deal with, and I'll be where I want to be :) I'll just continue my strict eating habits, my yoga, my cardio, and my weight work, and hopefully the progress continues!

You look GREAT! Awesome progress.

I think the hot shorts are, well hot. =) And feel free to PM the real journey pics lol.

Really though, great progress.

You are looking AWESOME. I think you found a routine that works great for you; and how is the yoga working out for you?

It's amazing. I know you feel wonderful. I'm down over 40 lbs now and feel unstoppable. You look incredible. And, I'm sure your confidence is through the roof. It should be! You deserve it!

Allllllrighttttttttttt.

You look fantastic! I bet you and your fiancee had some fun and got in lots of extra aerobic workouts right?

Thanks everyone! Yes, it does feel great, and yes we did get in some good aerobic workouts while he was home... ;)

As for yoga, it is going well! I missed a few classes over the holidays (we were doing epic amounts of driving to make sure we saw all the family equally, and driving in snow was no fun) but I'm jumping right back in and its great. Its improved my posture a lot and reduced some of my back pains.

Wow, that's amazing progress

Glad to hear you got your hubby home for a bit too; it's every person's basic human right ;)

great work keep going like you said your perfect where you are if you loss anymore you will look like one of those sick models lol rather know a person that is fit not sick thin

Question: Did you have any flabby skin or skin issues from the weight loss? Any tricks to avoid it or get rid of it? Just curious.

I didn't notice any prominent flabby skin as I was losing weight... I did notice some weird marks on my skin that my fiance called "shrink marks", sort of the opposite of stretch marks haha. Instead of being red stretch lines they were white and raised like little wrinkles in the skin in the same places a stretch mark might show up, but they would only stick around about a week at a time, then fade, then come back, then fade. Kinda weird, but they're gone now with no trace. Maybe we young'uns are just very elastic? :p
