Hi to everyone!!!
In the past, I was slim. I'n talking over 20 years ago weighing 115-118 lbs. on a 5 ft 5 in body. Very upsetting how that idea that when you are slim you don't worry about weight gain can take over and you put it off, lose some, gain some, lose a lot, gain even more cycle gets you. At age 48 yrs. old, I'm sick of it. I'm an attractive looking gal who still looks under 30 yrs. old, no reason not to get serious and thankfully my body isn't sick so I can exercise and get back to a healthy weight.
I started June 2nd and today got rid of 4 lbs. which I say gotten rid of like it's discarded trash. Every lb. down is making me think of trash in the trash can. Weird idea but it is working and making me think twice before I eat something foolish.
I just want to say hi and if you are having trouble getting or staying focused, let's talk. I happen to be an ICU Nurse for 28 years. What you all don't know is that there is an epidemic number of ICU Nurses that are somewhat to very seriously overweight and are the worst yo-yo dieters you'll ever see. I am going to lead the charge and break out of this awful situation. Over time, family members will bring in doughnuts, sweets, cakes, cookies and pies as well as other decadent foods. At this point I know, I know... I had the choice whether to eat this or not but trust me, you almost feel either obligated or you really want this stuff because it is a stressful day and you have some solace in a few minutes with a good brownie or oversized chocolate chip cookie in your mouth lol!!!!
Anyways, hi, I'm Stacy. I started out at 284.5 lbs. June 2nd and today is June 4th, 4 lbs. lighter and happier!!!!!! The scale says 280.5 lbs.
