People have finally noticed

I started my new lifestyle on the 4th june at 342lbs and as of today 15th sept I am 268lbs,and finally in the last week people are beginning to comment that I am losing weight.

I know its only a small thing but its given me an extra spur.For the last 3 months I have seen the scale go in the right direction,but it seems like its only the last 4 weeks or so that I can fit into smaller clothes,its almost as though my body caught up with the scale.

Since I started I have gone from 4/5XLtops to XXL (I even bought a top from a regular shop the other day) and my waist has gone from 56" to 46". Still another 50lbs or so to go but I finally feel I am making some physical progress.

I am surprised it took 70lbs or more for anybody to notice.The only thing that slightly worries me is that now people know I am losing weight.I feel as though I have passed the point of no return because its like my weight loss secret is out in the open and they will be looking to see what happens next,where before it didn't matter.I'll bet people would notice it go back on quicker than they saw it come off
 
I'd be shocked if someone DIDN'T notice I'd lost 74lbs.

And yes, some people will be silently hoping you gain it back. Don't think about them: they are assholes.

One thing, though; you've lost 74lbs in a little over 3 months. That's an astonishing rate of weight loss. In 14.5 weeks you've averaged over 5lbs a week. How are you doing it? A lot of people will tell you that is not really a healthy pace....
 
I havent tried to lose 5lbs per week.

When I started I was the definition of a couch potato,I mean seriously I moved only when necessary.I drank coca cola and ate crisps(chips) by the multipack.

Now I eat 1800-2000 cals per day and weight train 5x per week.I dont do any cardio.I havent gone over my daily calories once .I eat a lot of protein and good carbs and fats.I dont touch anything you could call rubbish but I do eat normal meals I am not anal about it.Pretty simple really but its working at the moment(fingers crossed)

Me too, but I've still "only" lost 26lbs in about 13 weeks.

I'm guessing by your usage that you're English, or from some other Commonwealth nation. I remember those multipacks of Walker's crisps from when I lived in England. The salt-n-shake variety were my absolute favorite. :coolgleamA:

Yeah I am from england.My downfall was beef hula hoops:drool5: I used to eat 10 bags a night.Thinking of it now its ridiculous I cant believe I used to sit there eating them non stop with no embarrassment.

One of the reasons it suddenly hit me,I was in the shop with my 3 year old niece and she said she wanted some hula hoops because they are what uncle Bill eats.The thought of being defined by a bag of crisps really hit home.I just thought its time to change,I mean some people kill themselves with drugs or beer,but I was heading for a heart attack because of a kids snack,its almost too ridiculous.

The strange thing is I dont miss any of the old food,for me now a night time snack is one spoonful of peanut butter.Luxury:smilielol5:
 
Congrats on the weight loss!!! That's alot of weight. But I also am losing at a very fast rate, and I'm a female, so I think it just depends on the persons body, and how bad they were before as opposed to how well they are doing now. That is so awesome!!! And let them look and wonder, it's more of a reason to prove to them that you can do this!!! Keep up the good work. I'll be checking in on you from time to time... :seeya:
