peanut butter expert needed

just been to the supermarket and could'nt find anything specifically called 'natutral p.b', the closest i could get was Whole Earth original, its 97% the rest is palm oil and salt, its made with unblanched peanuts with no added sugar, is this considerd good p.b. thanks for advice

Whole Earth tricked me for months.

The one ive found (and it is one) is by Meridian, the full range is here

(scroll half way down to find meridian stock)

they do it as 100% peanuts with or without added salt. this was available in a top uk supermarket that starts with the letters 'sai' and ends in 'urys' but about 3-4 weeks ago they seem to have stopped selling it. i did find it in a health shop in Wilmslow, Cheshire (fancy a drive) but otherwise its online im afraid. ive not ordered yet but im thinking a couple of kilo tubs will justify the price of postage.

can you tell ive had the same predicament? even h&b dont sell a healthy peanut butter (and their yoghurt coated range contains hydro veg oil), and this is the only one ive found so far.

hope that helps, if you find another let me know

ben

yeah nice one, i went to sainburys as well and they didnt have it. I dont get it why does no one stock it? anyway i'll tell you if i find anything

I found one that worked pretty well. you might wanna check it out. its called
Smart balance omega natural peanut butter with 1000mg omega-3's
its pretty good.

I've been using Adam's:

It's sold at most grocery stores, Target, etc. I don't have it in front of me, but it's ingredients are peanuts and possibly salt. Take a look.

can we just clear it up that we're talking uk and not usa? the uk are a bit behind when it comes to peanut butter (and maybe this isnt a bad thing since its such an effort to find a decent one)
