Path of the Fat

Hiiiiiiiiiiii everybody!

So here it is, finally :)

It's been a loooong time coming, and it's come! :)

My last attempt at weight loss! :)

Why last? It's not 'if I fail this, I will not try anymore', but rather because 'before the time passes, I will reach my goal!'

ooooh yeah!

:)

Ok, so that's that.

Now to explain some stuff:

I decided to make my reports on a weekly basis. So every sunday I will weigh myself, I will make a blog post, and make a video. That video, as you can see with the first one, may not be uploaded the same day as it's recorded, because of the lack of internet or whatever :)

Ok, now the plan:

wake up at 5 a.m.

do the internal taoist exercises from 5-6 a.m.

make breakfast from 6. to 6.30

make lunch at 12.00

make dinner at 18.00 (6 p.m.)

In the video I say that I'll be doing HIIT exercises (Capoeira Conditioning) before every meal, but that's not true because it's sooooo hot, and I don't think it's very healthy to do, at least not right now.

Also, my weight on 1st of July 2012 was 121.8kg.

And I've decided to limit my liquid intake. I'm trying to drink 2 cups of water per day, but so far (4th of July) I drank 3 :) I also eat a lot of fruit since it's sooo hot.

The reason for limiting my liquid intake is that healthy kidneys can comfortably work with 6 cups of liquid per day, and if I'm retaining water (and I think I am), I should drink less than that. So I decided to drink 2 cups, and then with some fruit I should total at around 4 cups.

How you can check if you're retaining water: press hard with your thumb on the lower part of your arm (between elbow and fist), strong, and hold it for a while. Then release and check out what's happening with the white mark. If it does not appear, or disappears immediately, you're good, otherwise: the longer the mark remains, more water you're retaining.

hm, ok. Sooo....I think that's that :)

I'm currently not home so I can't type much, but I'm looking forward to reading all of your comments and seeing what you think about this. That's why I decided to join the forums - check out other people opinions :p

So don't hesitate :)

cya all! :)

Hi everybody!

The first week has past faster than expected. :)

I was not fully disciplined, but a little bit. It seems it was still enough to lose weight (2.6kg).

Anyway, downstairs you can find detailed and precise information on what I did throughout this week. 'Tao' means internal taoist exercises (although, ITE would be cooler shortcut word :p )

The greatest information/change this week is that I can't follow balanced taoist meals because I think I might get some disease since it's hot, and it's easy for the ingredients to spoil even before they get to the market/stores. Therefore - green smoothies :) If you want to know more, just do an internet search on 'Victoria Boutenko - Green for life'. There she explains her thought process, which is great, and how she came up with these juices. Ironman drinks them too, watch the movie ;)

Although I don't say it in the video (that is linked below), I still plan on doing the internal exercises since they feel good, and I think they help :)

weeellll....that's it for now :) So I'm sad to report that I'm not following Taoist principles....but I hope this will be ok for now :)

CYA all in a week, when I hope to be even further along my weight-loss path :)

p.s. I left at home the graph that I made, that's like a table, and it has projected trajectory from 115kg to 78kg until 6.1.2013. Unfortunately, I began the journey pretty high, higher than 115kg, so when I get back I'll add the 'current line' to the graph, and hopefully this Sunday - show it to you. It's so simple and elegant to show if I'm above(like now) or below (like in a few weeks) the projected line :) it's also fun, I've never done this :p

ok, that's it, ta ta!

(little info: the things that are 'under these signs', are balanced taoist recipes. It's easier to just write the name of it.)

ok people, here's me again. I know it's been a while since I last updated you: to be exact, I missed last two updates. It's because I'm not doing good. The same thing is happening as usual: I start good, and then just stop, without knowing why. Weak will, I suppose. Sooo...this is not my first blog, or second, or like....don't know, it's like a 100th time I've tried losing weight. First time was when I was at 95kg, which i would now kill to be back at, and every new attempt at weight loss was interupted and resulted in more weight than in beginning, and eventually I got to 122.7 (weighed myself 10sec ago), and if you remember: I started at 121.8. soooo.....I'm quitting. I'm very aware of the saying: quitters don't win, winners don't quit. But I'm still quitting. I'm weak. So this is my last post. I'll leave the blog, and the youtube channel online for a week, just so that people know what happened, and then I'll erase my posts, blog, account, videos, channel...and be faat forever xD so that's it - good luck to everyone on your path to sexiness :) danny_boy over & out

Don't quit! I know it's hard, but I am in the same boat as you with trying and trying and not seeing progress and just giving up all together. It's a big struggle, it really is, but since I've started losing weight in 2009 I've managed to lose about 40lbs (18kgs). I won't lie, there were LOADS of times where I just quit, even for months at a time. I still haven't made my goal after all this time, but I have made progress and my life has improved significantly. One thing I have learned is you just have to take it slow. Don't get down and completely lose hope if you have a bad day/week/even month, even if you do it over and over. Learn from your failures. If you can drastically change your diet from eating badly for so long and not having much exercise, to one with a strict diet and daily exercise, you'd have to have a will of steel! Don't accept that you have a weak will, you can still make it, you just have to take it slow! I've always struggled with my weight and have pretty much always put myself on a diet since the age of 9 or 10. I always failed because I tried to change what I've done all my life too drastically and too soon. You have to take it one step at a time and make small changes so your body can adapt. Focus on the small victories and not on the failures. You already lost 2.6kgs! Celebrate that! Focus on that! Keep things around you that motivate you! Pictures or quotes! I keep a list of sayings in my daily planner so when I start to feel that tug inside telling me to stray from my path, I can just turn to that page and my head becomes clear again. I know what I want, and it seems like you know what you want too. Don't lose that voice in yourself telling you what you truly want, and that is to be healthy and feel good about yourself. I believe that's your true voice and sometimes it gets lost in all the other fleeting voices saying to just nap on the couch or eat a box of cookies (that's my vice, haha
smile.gif
). You gotta look past that stuff, keep positive, and remember what it is you want. And if you fail, just let go, keep going, move on and don't dwell on it. That's what always gets me to quit, is just getting caught up on a small failure. I still do this, and I probably always will, but even with my failures I have made progress and that's something I can't and won't ignore. Starting out will always be the hardest because there isn't much progress yet to motivate you and to help you believe in yourself, but like I said, focus on your victories, losing 2.6kg already. It will help carry you through. I don't know if what I'm saying will change your mind, but I truly hope you don't quit and you keep trying. I loved watching your initial video and was really looking forward to following your progress, but the last entry made me very sad and I had to say something. I really hope you don't give up!

@IrishPrincess thanks :p

@le_squish

heeeeeeeey :)))

When I read what you wrote, it was really....different :)

You wrote a lot, and from the heart, and you REALLY surprised me that you care so much :)

I don't understand why. But when I read your post, I really wanted to carry on, but still wanted to quit, so I read it again and...here's the result: I copied everything from the notebook to the PC's notepad, made a video and got a new determination, ALL because of you! <3

Anyway, it is kinda late, but in the morning I'm gonna go shopping for the ingredients for Taoist cooking :)

Wow, I really can't show how much you helped me :))))

I just hope one day I'll be able to return this great favor!

thank you a lot!

Below is the entire TWO week list of what I ate, and a link to the video which explains a lot

Yay!!! I'm so happy you changed your mind
smile.gif

You didn't cause drama. If anything you made me realize how close I've been getting to quitting, and seeing you give up made me realize that wasn't something I wanted to do, so YOU shouldn't either! I've been struggling the past month or so because I sprained my ankle and exercise has been very difficult and my weight loss has halted due to not being able to exercise and I've been pretty discouraged over it. I've been trying to find the positive and I found that I haven't gained any weight despite not exercising as much, and that is the positive thought that's pulling me through my struggle. The good news is that I've been healing nicely and I should be "back on my feet" (literally) soon!

And I LOVE your video game metaphor. It really is like that!

Yeah people, I definitely quit xD

sorry to take your time. I'll leave this for few days, maybe week, then delete it.

Thank you all, and good luck on your journeys! :p
