pale or tanned??

hey
i have a weird question: do people in general prefer pale/white skin? or tanned skin?? on women i mean. it would be helpful if everyone who has an opinion could reply saying if they like it better when a girl has white skin or when she's tanned. thanx.
 
Well I don't know if you want a girl's opinion but I would say that when a girl has a little color from being outside is best. Not pasty because she never does anything outside and not uber tan because she goes to the salons. More medium. I think salon tans are ridiculous and make many girls look plastic.

Speaking as a man, I would say a little color, it really depends on your skin type. Some people don't tan very well.
To me it is more important to be toned, the color is really less important.
 
as a man, i would say a tan looks good, but do it within your skin tone and then again think about the risk of getting skin cancer. but yea a little color is nice. i hope that helps.
 
Yeah, I agree with the people above me. I love tans and think most people look nice with one. Not everyone looks good with a tan, but a lot of people look better with one in my opinion. I love tanning (I'm a guy) but my main fear is cancer runs high in my family. I'm afraid if I get too much sun that I'll get skin cancer. That wouldn't be fun in the least bit. But to answer your question, tans are hot if they are done without looking disgusting. lol Hope that helps answer your question! Have a wonderful day. :)

Definitaley not white. Tanned is the way, but not like ... dark as the night. I like a good tan, medium maybe. Spray on is bad. For guys same thing. Unless you have a good amount of melanin. I have that so I'm white, but it looks like I'm tanned all year round. I also don't burn =).
 
I think it depends on your coloring. Pale skin can look good on ppl with dark hair. Tans can make skin look kind of "rubbery" or "tough" after a while. But my official vote is pale in the winter time, tanned in the summer.
 
Unless you're Nicole Kidman, def tan! But not overly done tan...tanning lotions have come a long way, they're not as orangie as before, but they do have that after smell yuk...
 
personally, i like tanlines.....BUT there is a reason for that.

Now, I'm not talking about the kind of tanlines from sitting beside a pool in a bikini. I'm talking about the kind a woman gets from going out and being active. Like if a woman has been out running/biking/whatever in say a sports bra, or even a tank top, you can tell. To me, that's sexy.

Pastey white is not the best look, but it's not too bad either. My gf for instance, doesn't tan too well. To me that means very little as she looks amazing anyways.

all in all, I prefer a little bit of color, but even the slightest tan from being outside for only an hour can be conisdered color.

this prolly doesn't help at all, lol :D
 
I think it depends on the woman very much (like pretty much everything). I've seen amazing women with both pale and tanned skin...
My taste is so cliche; I get bewitched by medium tanned blondes... :D
At least it has been like that until now, I believe everything can change.
 
I think Brunettes look good with paler skin (Your picture looks awesome.)
Blondes tend to look good with tanner skin. I dunno. Penelope Cruz is hot and so is Nelly Furtado.
 
depends ont he person...

My wife is a Irish Red head...naturally pale...her "deep tan" is barely noticable, she tried the "spray tans" and Lotion tans, does her no good.

But I tan rather easily during the summer...I used to be a lifeguard in the teen years...man I used to get dark.

So depends on the body make up.
