Hello.
I am one of the unfortunate 10% of migraine sufferers that are men. As such, I deal with headache pain to various degrees at irregular intervals. (c10 level 8 h/a year - Rx medication necessary....Relpax or Imitrex)
There are a few days a month when I get low level headaches which do not require Rx medication. Normally, I will take 1000-1500mg buffered aspirin or the same of aceteminifin (Tylenol equiv.) for 3-4 days a month. Doctor approved.
Does this regime effect my muscle growth in any way?
After taking the Rx meds, my ability to lift anywhere near my previous sessions maximums is reduced by c30%. Side effects are muscle weakness and slight muscle cramping, lasting from 30min after dosage, peaking at 1.5hrs and reducing to 10% after 8 hours.
Please help me understand what regular over the counter pain relievers do or do not do.
Thanks
