Pain in my side and in my feet

For a few months now, I have had discomfort in my left toes when working out. After about 10 minutes on the elliptical, the toes on my left foot start to go numb. After another 10 minutes, they are numbish but they also ache. It's really uncomfortable. No matter what shoes I wear, they pop and are uncomfortable unless I put much more weight on the ball of that foot than on the toes. What have I done to my foot?

Also, I've noticed that recently I am starting to get a "stitch" in my left side when working out hard. What causes this, and how can I avoid it?

Stupid questions, but.... :willy_nilly:

This question gets asked on a ton of different places...the answer is usually when you're on the elliptical - try moving your feet - don't leave them in one position...

as for the stitches - breathing can help with that...

I do move my feet, I shift them around constantly to try to alleviate the pain. And I do breathe but once the pain starts, it hurts!

I get those same pains in my sides. Only, I get them out of the blue. I don't have to be exercising so who knows.

The foot thing happens to me sometimes when I'm doing squats. Try to stretch your foot out a little, move it around more.
