I happened upon this sight when trying to research my issue. I have been running on and off along with hiking, stairmaster at the gym, etc. Been fine with everything. But last time I ran, an ache started in my left leg/ hip joint. And after finishing (about 5 miles) and sitting down, pain got worse. Hurt getting up out of chair, walking and especially going up stairs. It has gotten better over the next few days, although still dull pain, but concerned now about running again. It is the same route I have run many times. I will also add that my hamstring muscle on that side tends to always be a bit tight.
Any thoughts out there?
