Pain and stiffness in my calf and ankle

I have only recently started training seriously and seem to have picked up some odd injury.

I did about 10 miles on a stationary bike the day before yesterday and the following morning i noticed a slight pain at the back of my ankle.

I skipped cardio yesterday opting for light all body weight program instead and it seemed fine.

Today I did 10 miles on the bike again (ensuring that I warmed up properly first and only stretched after the muscles were warm). I also stretched properly after the workout.

Now I am suffering from much pain in the ankle plus numbnss in the leg below the knee. Also the calf muscle is very stiff.

What should I do? I dont have the greatest blood circulation, could it maybe be a circulation issue?

Thanks

numbness is your body's way of telling you that you should see a doc.

The back of your ankle? Do you mean the achilies tendon?

Regardless, due to the numbness I think you should see a doc. Numbness can mean that there is a nerve somewhere that is pissed off.

Thanks for the prompt response.

Not the achilles tendon, more the muscules around it.
The soft tissue at the base of foot.
