p90x lean

hi am starting p90x lean starting monday.....anyone wanting to share experiences...need ur help for motivation

On day 5 of P90x

I bought the video because I figured if I liked it I could always do a second round when I was in better shape. There is a fit test that you take before you start and I just squeaked through because I can't really do push-ups. I think the program is worth doing even if you're not in good shape. You do as many reps as you can and just keep going. I could also only do the first 30 minutes of the yoga tape, and have had to do modifications on some of the moves (no weights, for example), but this is a program that will challenge me for a long time to come so I think it's a better buy than an easier program that I will have to trade up from. If you listen to you body and watch you form injury should not be an issue.

My mom bought them a while ago they are great but you shouldn't follow only them if your main focus is weight loss definitely mix it up and get your cardio on point. i love doing the dvd cardio x if i had alil to many calories that day.. just blast 350 to 400 off me

Hello all I am new here.....Name is Tony, live in texas...

P90X undoubtedly works. It is guaranteed and they honor it if you haven't achieved the results. You have to follow the workouts and nutritional intake. There is no gimmick or fad, it is about clean food and balanced intake. It isn't an easy program but if you are interested in being in the best shape of your life it is well worth it. People have downloaded copies of it and unfortunately you are without the tools that the program includes. The nutrition guide is a very important part of the system. I have had awesome results, I feel better than I ever have and I am not stopping.

As far as getting injured by doing it? You are at risk for injury when you do not follow the guidelines of any program or exercise regemin. The videos are aimed at those people who are out of shape and those in shape, instructions on how to modify it as you go through it are included in each exercise. You will know all you need to know by doing and watching what the video has to offer.

If you would like to see my transformation I have a blog site but am unsure of the rules of posting it so if someone can clarify those or send me a pm I will send you the link. It is my website dedicated to encouraging people to achieve their goals and shows my transformation.

I just started P90X about 30 days ago and I've lost about 20 lbs so far. I still can't really keep up with the videos and I still Can't do 1 pullup so I use bands instead along with free weights. But every week I can definitely do a lot more and people are starting to tell me that they can tell I'm losing weight.

Its not an easy workout, but you can modify. I think of it as having faith, just keep doing what they tell you and you will see results.

Can't do what they are doing on the video day 1 - do jumping jacks.. you and your body will figure out how to adapt it to something you can do.

I do the 2nd video and was winded a few times throughout the workout.. even the instructor is like pause it. I pause it catch my breath and go back for more.

The 1 hour flys by because you keep changing your stuff and have small breaks, but not breaks that make you think "why am I doing this."

The best analogy I can say for this program is that it feels like I am in a gym class in HS and the teacher is making us do exercises. There are some kids who run the mile in 5 minutes and some in 20, but everyone does it. Go with that mindset, do what you gotta do and be grateful no one is around to see you making an ass of yourself.

If you keep pressing play for 90 days, this will undoubtably do something for you. I am on day 3, and I know if I do this everyday for 3 months there will be a huge change in body and physical self.

I don't want to ramble, do it, be sore, do it again. If you did it once, you can do it again.. press play for an hour and be done knowing you did a world class workout for your body.

Hello...I am an out-of-shape 35 year old (5'4, 180 pounds) who started p90x about 10 days ago. I was pretty intimidated at first, because when I googled p90x to see people's success stories, it seemed that everyone was already looking fabulous before they even started! I would kill to have their "BEFORE" bodies! However, my boyfriend and I decided to plunge in and I have to say it's the best thing I've ever done. I won't lie, the first week was pure hell. I could barely move my arms and legs and had trouble sleeping because whenever I moved in my sleep the pain would wake me up! But now it is week two and although my muscles still get sore, it's much more manageable. The workouts are intense but Tony (the trainer) keeps reminding you to "do your best and forget the rest". I still can't do a pullup or a proper pushup but I'm still getting a great workout with adapted moves. I have also been following the meal plan...at first it was REALLY hard to eat all that protein (I certainly was never hungry on this diet!) but I added a protein shake to my day and it really helped. After week one, I can already see some changes in my body...little bit more tone in my muscles and lost 3.5 pounds. So I've proof that an out-of-shape person CAN take on p90x! My only concern would be if you have a knee/joint injury, as a lot of the excercises are high-impact.
Hope this is helpful!
