Over the hill?? I don't think so!!

I'm new at this, just getting started. This is a great website but after much searching I've noticed that the vast majority of members are in their 20s and 30s. I would love to have a 'buddy' who is in the same boat as me....50s and struggling with the need to lose for health reasons. Motivation seems to be an important key, but reasons for dieting are different with someone my age. (My last baby was 28 years ago, I'm not overly concerned about getting my girlish figure back or looking good in a halter top....:p If there's anyone out there who can relate....let me know! Thanks!!:)
 
I'm one of those "30's" hehe but I wanted to welcome you :) I'm new hear myself but its given me alot of motivation to keep it up. We all have our different reasons for changing our lives (I don't like to think of it as dieting) but giving it a specific reason never worked for me. I am changing my life because I want to, I want to be healthy and happy! You say you need to loose for your own health, there is your motivation! :)

Wow! You've come a long way, and judging from your picture you are doing great! Thanks for the motivational response. You're right...we all have different reasons but we all are on the same journey! Are you using a specific diet plan or are you doing this on your own?
 
Hey :) Glad you posted again was wondering about you! I'm not on any specific diet plan other then counting my calories, exercising, and of course some personal me time to sit and write in my journals. I'm a firm believer that our thoughts control alot of our actions, so I had to work those out too instead of just my foods! :p

Glad to see you again and hope to hear more from you! :) I have faith in you I know you can achieve your goal!
