Hi there,
Im planning on doing optifast I have looked around the internet to try find out more about it such as plans etc

I was hoping somebody on here thats on optifast could tell me what they do each week? what shakes they take, when they take them just all the information i need to know so i dont waste my money.

I go to the gym and would be keen to keep going but i heard you cannot do this because of the low calorie intake this diet creates.

Thanks,

Hi
I just started optifast a few days ago. According to all of the professionals you can and should excersice while you use this product. The reason is if you dont you will lose muscle mass.Your body goes into starvation mode and starts brning up anything fat and muscle. I hope some one responds to this, because this is the toughest plan I have ever been on. Ineed to lose weight because I am 50:willy_nilly: and my knee is bothering. I am an active grandma and my husband and I like to hike and camp and pretend we are not in our 50's.
Good luck to all in this jorney:seeya:

I think we should help each other i cant affored it right now i lost my job and need to lose weight i was told to go on optifast but till i get another job im going to ask the public to help me out if we each help each other this will be one awesome out come i do belive. So please if you have any optifast ur not using as in the shakes i will be happy to take it off your hands. Or pay a little please if u can help be kind and let me know thank you.

Optifast is not a good diet. Any diet that does not allow food, or is so low in calorie that you are unable to do much, and feel like crap, is not going to be overly good in the long run.
It teaches you no skills and so when you come off you will just re-gain any weight you took off fairly quickly.
It might pay to look at the diet information in the sticky threads

Wait a minute. Opti fast IS a good program because its not all about not eating. I am monitered by a physician and the transition to food is done gradually. It is good in that the weight loss is quick, then you transition back to food w/ a dietition.and a nutritionist. Plus there are manditory meetings, support groups, and maintance. So unless you know what you are talking about don't be saying one diet plan is good or bad.
