Oops. I think I originally put this in the wrong forum? I'm a newbie.

Hi Guys,

I am happy to find this site. I post my weight loss accomplishments on my Facebook, and a few of my friends say, "Good job" or something of that nature. But others are haters and want to be negative about it, so I figured I would post here to a group who specifically are interested in weight loss.

I did the Atkins diet for the first month, and it works. BUT it gets so old after awhile. And as soon as I went off it, I put pounds right back on. I do love me some Olive Garden breadsticks!!!! Between gaining weight on my off weekend and having to stick to that crazy diet plan, I got really sick of Atkins (no offense Atkins' folks) after a month. I did lose 10 pounds doing it though.

This past month, I quit Atkins. Instead, I just did moderate exercise and used an awesome weight loss product. I am not going to post anything more about that here because I don't want to be accused of spamming.

I lost another 14 pounds this month without having to kill myself on Atkins. I do go to the gym and get in about 25-30 minutes of cardio 4 or 5 times a week too.

I've got my 20th year high school reunion coming up on June 20th, and I want to lose 6 more pounds to make it an even 30. That's my goal!!!

Just wanted to share my success, and thanks for any encouragement!!!!! Keep up the good work guys!!!!!

Hello dmroughton, welcome to the Forum. :)

So far from what I've heard such things as the Atkins, may help ppl lose about what you've lost, 10 lbs at first, but usually since it is seen as a "temporary diet" you will only gain weight back afterwards. Try a goal of changing your eating, whether it be smaller portions, or eating healthier, no junk, processed foods, ect.. I wouldn't go cold turkey though ;)

Take a look around the forum, and read some of the stickies here, they have a great supply of useful tips and what not.

Take Care :seeya:
