Only Cardio

So i was doing cardio and lifting weights every other day. And i decided i wanted to just to cardio to cut down on my BF and also lose some belly fat. Ive been doing a 30 minute session 5 days a week for about 2 and a half weeks now and uping the pace a little every couple days, and have been seeing some pretty decent results with the waist line and muscle tone.
My diet stays pretty healthy also.

I was just wondering if going longer at a little slower pace would be better, or do some HIIT, or possibly work in a light weight routine once a week?
Thanks

you do know. excessive cardio = muscle loss, thus 20-30 minutes is already sufficient 2-3 times a week is sufficient. the major factor to weight loss is DIETING , 80% diet , 20% exercise. thats a proven fact.

you wont lose weight just running all day long, and you will cause yourself to lose muscle mass which you dont want either as 3500 lbs is equivalent to 1 lb of fat. thus if you have 1 lb of lean muscle mass, you will burn 50 calories.
More lean muscle mass, more you would have to eat though to maintain.

at the moment, from my calculation of your current weight, you have 34.65 lbs of fat left, you do that math, subtract 500 from your daily caloric needs
lose up to 1% of body fat in a week.

You so far have 130.35 lbs of lean muscle mass, thus your burning 6517.50 calories a day. 1 lb of lbm burns 50 calories. & 3500 calories = 1 lb of fat.

my suggestion to you is. lower your cardio sessions to about 20-30 minutes, 2-3 times a week & i highly advise that you try interval training *HIIT*, this you will do 2-3 times a week. 15 minutes per session is recommended.
90-100% your heart rate for 45 seconds and 50-70% your heart rate for 1 minute or so. Repeat.

how is your diet like?

I knew excessive cardio wasnt good, but wasnt aware that i was doing to much. I did the math and after everything, to lose 1%BF/week my calorie intake should be 2383. I can tell you now that i dont eat that much, so i guess ill have to start stuffing myself?

I'll lower the cardio sessions and give the HIIT a shot (never tried before).

My diet is:
Breakfast: a smootie in the morning (peaches, strawberries, or other fruits, little milk, ice)

Lunch: Something like a wrap of some kind, maybe grilled chicken, or blt.

Dinner: something healthy, nothing is really set in stone for that part of the diet so i try to make due

Eat 5-6 meals a day rather than three, every 2-3 hours if possible. It is much healthier.

I totally agree, you need to space out your meals in 2-3 hours, and eat 5-6 meals a day.

the whole point of spacing out meals in small portions is to increase metabolism throughout the day. High metabolism, more calories burned.
