One Year Ago Today....

I registered to this forum on September 29, 2007. Back then, I was 18, overweight, unfit and eating unhealthy foods on a constant basis. I posted my first topic, willing to make a change:

Hi everyone. How are we all? I'm Male, Shannon, from Australia and currently 18. I've decided, I want to lose Fitness.com - Free Exercises, Fitness Equipment, Customized Workout, Fitness Programs, Fitness Articles, Beauty Fitness, Weight Loss, Weight Training, Diet Plans. And I'm serious about it this time. So therefore I'm here to get motivation, as it's sometimes hard trying it on your own.

I'm about 5'9" (177cm) and 92kg (202lb). So I've cut down on any bad foods that I'm indeed aware that are bad for you (Schnitzel burger, parmigiana, McDonald's, chips, sausages etc etc)

I've been doing push ups and sit ups and going for a jog. But that is it (thus far)

I've tried this before, and I'm not sure if it's enough. I'm not fully aware of how to manage the calories, and what is a good limit etc.

I attend University, and I am often lazy and procrastinate in doing my study, and the more I think about it, I think it all relate back to the weight.

When I'm at my University residence, cooking healthy sometimes doesn't happen, and I'll cheap on take away etc.

Can anyone help me and give me advice for good exercises, eating methods and the calorie system?

Cheers.

Although I didn't become active on both this forum and my weight loss regime until 3 months later (December 27), I still find it a breakthrough today that it was one year today I became aware of a problem and was willing to make a change.

Today I'm healthy, fit, happier, motivated and rarely eating unhealthy foods.

Thank you to all those who helped me on my journey throughout the year, there have been a lot of you. :)

Shannon
