one legged squats to the ground

I've been doing one legged squats but not the ground. These squats are unweighted, everytime i see someone doing them, mostly martial artists, i see thm go all the way to the ground. Is this bad? I learnded that anything beyond 90* is bad for the knee. Can anyone give me a little info on this?

The knee is at its weakest position at 90 degrees.There's nothing wrong with goind right down as long as you keep your feet flat on the ground and don't bounce at the bottom.
