OMG!! How did I get this way!!!!

I just stepped on the scale and I am huge! I weigh 278 lbs!!!!! My stomach is a whopping 50" around! This is the biggest I have ever been in my life and I have actually been trying to loose weight!!!! I've gained 20 pounds after I started trying!! What am I doing wrong???????? I'm getting married in December and I don't want to look like this!! I don't even want to have my picture taken now!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest ..
Start a diary ..and through your journey you will find out why you became the wieght you are ..and how you can become the great person you already are ...

its a long journey .. but I have been talking with alot of people ..great support ...

Welcome to the forum. I ask myself that question all the time. Its a very good one. Look around for tips and suggestions; there is tons of great advice around here.

Welcome to WLF. You are a strong person and you can do this. Read up as much as you can. I am eating 20% below maintenance, losing slowly, but eating as much as possible so I'll keep at it longer.

Multiply your weight in pounds x 15 calories to determine your maintenance calories. It will seem high but that's because you probably have no idea what you were eating before. Eat 20% below, don't starve, and you will lose weight.

I hope the forum will encourage you long enough to see results for yourself.
 
I think it's great that you've realized you want to change, especially since you have a wedding to work towards.

You said that you've gained weight, even though you're trying to lose it. The question is, what have you been doing? I know from reading posts around the forum here that often if you eat too little, your body goes into starvation mode. This definitely wouldn't help you lose! The best things I've heard around here are to make sure you live healthy and get your exercise in.

So what are your plans to lose weight? Your goals? I found it really helped to start a diary here and set up some small goals to work towards. I wish you all the best, and welcome to the forums!

All you need to do is stick to a healthy diet and do alot of exercise and the pounds will soon be shifting.Dont fell down about this.We all only live once.Congrates your getting married dont let that day be a down day.Just remember thats the happyest day for girls,keep smiling:)
