Olympic Grip

Olympic Grip/Hook grip

Who else uses a "hook grip" when they lift? i think thats what its called.
You put your thumb inside your other 4 fingers, using the 4 fingers to reinforce the thumb instead of using the thumb to reinforce the 4 fingers.
I find it GREAT, im hooked, cant lift weights the normal way now, and it really makes your grip better once you are used to it.
Just thought id share.

looks really effective and i see the logic, but it looks dangrous lol!! :p
 
its a bitch getting used to, my thumb tendon really hurt for a while, i though it might have been a tendonitis.
If you think about it, when you reinforce with your thumb with the standard grip, your thumb barly reaches over your fingers, but here your fingers reach well over your thumb, so you get to use the thumb more.
