After this past Thanksgiving, I decided to finally stop making excuses and try to get healthy and lose weight. It's been two months and I've made it almost halfway to my goal. I'm so pumped and can't wait to get down to 130 in the upcoming months! :D

Wow, 27 lbs in two months? I hope you aren't starving yourself. I think you look good. You're very pretty and that last picture you can tell your legs are looking really good too. Congrats.

Wow, that's a huge loss, what sort of plan are you on? You look adorable. Love the hair cut.

Thanks so much! :) It's so hard to see the changes in our own body because they're to subtle from day to day. It wasn't until I put pictures side by side that I realized the last 2 months wasn't for nothing. :)

27 DOES sound a lot. I only aim for about 2.5 lbs a week. I think the first few pounds was all water weight and just came off really quickly. I'm making sure to feed my body. ;) THANKS AGAIN!

You are an inspiration to me Lux! And gorgeous you are!

Def see a major difference.

Thanks Jesca! My hair is just an outgrown A-line. I need to get it redone soon. :)

When I first started working out, I just went to the gym every day but only managed to do about 15-20 minutes on the elliptical. It wasn't much but it was better than doing nothing and sitting on my butt all day. I slowly worked in more cardio and strength training. Now I'll go everyday and do 30-60 minutes of cardio + 30-40 minutes of strength training (every other day). I've also started to add in HIIT recently. Every once in a while when I feel my body needs a break, I'll take a day off. It's just up to your body and what you're ready for.

I eat pretty often but I've just made sure to cut down my portions and try to make smart choices when out with my friends! :) Sample:

Breakfast: Oatmeal with 1/2 Grapefruit
Snack: 2-3 Pitted prunes
Lunch: Turkey sandwich on whole wheat w/ lettuce, tomato, onion. 1 cup of soup.
Snack: Fruit
Dinner: 4 0z. Salmon filet with brown rice and side of vegetables

Also, every day before the gym, I'll down some almonds. After the gym, I'll eat half a banana for potassium or make a smoothie! SMOOTHIES ARE SOOO GOOD and so healthy if you don't buy them from Jamba Juice! I'll just use frozen strawberries and 1/2 a banana with plain yogurt. SO BOMB. They're also great for meal replacements if you're busy. I think. Hope that helps!

THANKS NICOLE! We're going to be so hot this summer. I might have to join you and Ivette on your cow tipping excursion. Naked.

girl you are gorgeous!!
good luck on the rest of your transformation, you're doing amazing so far :D

I absolutely LOVE your smile!!! =) It's soooo happy. And you look absolutely wonderful!!!
You are a great inspiration! I mean 27 lbs in 2 months is off the chain!!!!!!! =)
I also like how your gym plan is so very similar to mine... now it's just going to keep me continuing further!!!

I think you are going about it in a healthy way. Your nutrition plan seems reasonable, maybe just slightly on the light side but pretty darn good. I would maybe just add some protein in the morning meals/snacks. I personally like to eat 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg scrambled. If you don't like eggs, add some other kind of protein in the morning. Your excercise routine seems really good too. If you get to a point where you are only losing 0.5 to 1.5 lbs per week don't worry, that time will come. Even if you go a week where you don't lose, don't freak out. See what happens the next week.

Hi OLUX! :seeya: Great job so far! You are so cute and your WL looks tremendous!

Keep up the great work!:smash:

Thanks everyone for your feedback! It's so refreshing to get positive reinforcement for my efforts! :)

Yeah, I think instead of just eating a fruit or oatmeal everyday, I'm going to try and eat more eggs too! One of my sorority sisters is always peeling boiled eggs in the kitchen like a creeper. I'm going to start joining her. ;) Also, OH GOSH, I am SO SCARED of the day that my weight loss will start to plateau. I know it happens but I don't want it to discourage me. I've started to vary up my workouts by adding in HIIT as well as doing the C25K instead of just normal cardio all the time. I'm hoping that will help me prolong the coming of the plateau. :) I have to kick my ass before it can kick mine! YEAHHH! :smash:

WOW! So I found even more horrifying before pictures! This really makes me sad because I never thought I looked that bad - until I saw these photos.

I don't know what I weigh in these photos. Probably a lot more than 185.
