Hi!

I'm a 66 year old male with a lot of physical problems, Diabetes, neuropathy, arthritis, spinal stenosis, obese at 6'2" / 285, but I'm not giving up.

I used to be very athletic and strong. That was a long time ago.

I eat very carefully, no sweets, and I don't eat too much. I've been on a mostly vegetarian diet and have been gluten-free for about 5 weeks. I started a light exercise/stretching program about 8 days ago and I joined a gym with the membership to start 1/2/13. So far I have lost 0 (zero) pounds. I'm pretty frustrated at this point, but I am looking forward to the gym.

Right now I need to find a place where I can get some exercise pants to fit my 46" girth and 30" inseam. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks for listening

My dad is my training partner, and tries to eat as healthy as I have been since I started my diet (I need to remember to do something special come fathers day), and he's been feeling better and losing weight. So just so you know, if he can do it, so can you.
Stick to it and keep trying. I believe in you.

And welcome to the forums!
