OK to Workout Only One Arm?

I got in a bike accident last week and my hand hurts when I lift anything above 5-10 lbs. I doesn't seem to be anything serious at all, but still probably needs at least a couple of weeks to fully heal. Anyhow, Is it OK to workout just my left (uninjured) arm in the meanwhile? I'm right handed, so I figure this should just balance my strength more.

Also, I'm trying to come up with a routine that won't aggravate my hand. So far all I can think of are ab exercises, squats, and lunges without weights. Any ideas would be appreciated.
