hi..im a new member.....
im 16 years old and lost about 70 pounds (and it just hit me right now how much i lost and i cant believe it lol..) with weight watchers program by following the plan and exercising alot..(skating, running)

being a dude about 6'2 tall and having much less weight on me feels good, but the thing that doesnt feel good is having stretch marks on my upper body(my "abs" and the sides..goes along the whole sides just about..) but this isnt the only thing..i also have some extra skin b/c of the loss of weight...

it sucks for me...really..

i can understand a slightly older person having stretch marks but as a 16 year old..its hard..it makes me really self conscious. another thing is that my chest is prty big.. not my chest itself- but my "tits" if thas wat i wanna call them..it sux..

....in other words.. i have pretty big tits..for a guy..ok?!? lol ok..
(not sure if it has to do w/ weight loss..but im pretty sure cus i dont think they were that big b4 i lost weight..prolly cudnt tell..i dunno)

how can i get rid of the stretch marks? is ther a way?
how can i get rid of the extra skin? can i?
and how bout my chest/tits? can i be fixed up?

im really serious about this though..i havnt asked any1..., jus this forum now :)
help me out guys if ya can plz :)

thx

At your age I'm surprised that you're having problems with the skin. Did you lose the weight pretty fast? Work on toning and strength training. Give the skin issue some time before you start considering surgery. If you lost weight at a fast rate, it could take time for the elasticity in your skin to catch up. At 16, this shouldn't be a problem. Congrats on the weight loss. Palmers makes a stretch mark cream that works really well.

Hi! Congrats on your weight loss! I wish I had the drive to lose weight when I was your age :)

I can sympathize about the stretch marks. I'm covered in them. I got my first marks when I was about 6ish years old. They do fade over time, and you can natural creams from the chemist (drug store) to help fade them and make your skin more elastic.

Unfortunately they rarely fade completely, one option if you consider cosmetic surgery to remove loose skin down the track, is to talk to the surgeon and see if they can treat the marks too. Being fairly young still its something you wouldn't want to rush into though. There is a good chance that your skin will tighten up over time becuase of your age.

Vitamine E is good to stop any tenderness and reduce redness when you first get them too, and it helps with elasticity to stop cracking/splitting on loose skin.

I agree with 2bigfortexas.. I use Palmers Cocoa butter formula with vitamin e.. its almost like rubbing pure butter onto your skin. hehe But its really good.. started seeing some difference with it on my stomach (got horrible stretch marks around my hips, stomachs and chest due to yo yo dieting through puberty) after a few weeks, and it left that area feeling a lot smoother and softer. :) I say go for it.

As for the boob problem.. like everyone says im afraid.. tone tone and tone. :D what about skin toneing cream for that area too? never tried it but it might work.

Besides... working out will give you a hot bod that the ladies will adore. ;)

dont stop

awesome!! thanks you guys for the tips and stuff!!

but to say i have been workin out and iam starting to tone out
i have weight training and i see some result even tho we barely started..so its awesome! [imagine lifting for a whole year..!] cant wait till the end of the year...! As for cardio...my teacher lets me run after im done doing sets..

but again!! thank you!!
and good luck with all of your guys' weight loss!!!
i did it!! u can too!!!!

Great job with the weight loss! I agree with the others that weight training is a great idea. Since you're still young, your skin is probably more elastic and might tighten up over time.

id like to bump this thread for the stretch mark cream.

it sounds like cocoa butter and vitamin e are the two main ingredients to look for.

is this palmers cream worth it?
