Odd question about the p90x ab ripper

I recently got P90X, and did the first day. While my upper body was decent in keeping up with Tony duiring chest and back, the ab ripper caused pain that seemed VERY weird.

When doing some of the excersises, a shooting pain came from my thighs and near my butt. It almost felt like the muscle wasn't able to flex or something. When I would move my leg back to a normal position, the pain went away.

Is this something that stretching and yoga will eventually eradicate? Or do I need to see a doctor about this?
 
Wow I'm not sure. The sores muscles can be painful for me sometimes if I haven't done the workouts in a while. I think you should just do plenty of stretches to see if that helps first before you see a doctor. The yoga x does help a lot with the stretching before the next workout. Don't ever try to skip it lol.
 
You should never experience shooting pain. That would definitely concern me. If it re-occured, I would see a doctor. I don't stretch ever and never have shooting pain, just doms.
