oatmeal

what type of oatmeal brands do u guys eat.
Currently I eat Quaker "Instant weight control" oatmeal. But I want to try their low sugar strawberry and creme but is ok to eat that?
 
I eat a generic version of Quaker Old-Fashioned, but I've been meaning to pick up some steel cut.

I flavor it by blending 3oz of fruit into 1cp milk and boiling my oats up in that.
 
I usually just put cinnamon on mine, and that's it, not that this answers the question of the original post. If I have fruit on hand (other than grapes) I'll sometimes toss some in with it after it's cooked. Can't help you with brands though, right now I just buy mine in bulk from a giant unlabeled sack of oatmeal at the grocery store.
 
I don't hardly touch 'instant' oatmeal unless I'm in dire need of 'decent' carbs for a meal.
Old fashioned oats are much better, and steel cut even a little better than old fahsioned.

for one, instant oatmeal turns to paste. whole oats don't. they digest a little slower, have a minutely lower Glycemic index, but most importantly have NO ADDED SUGARS.

I use old fahsioned oats from Quaker, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a packet of splenda.
If I need more fat in the day's diet, I'll add a tablespoon of natural peanut butter (crunchy style) and that really adds flavor since its a fat, and fats enhance flavor.
 
I was reading its label, weight control ones have a lot more fiber compared to old fashioned one. And i dnt remember seeing sugar in the ingredients.
 
I have "Scotts whole oats"
Evo would like them cos there is a guy with a kilt on the front.

I add a spoon of choc spread, sliced apple or banana.

Oats on there own are not all that great, I like adding stuff with a diffrent texture to make it more interesting.
 
Every morning I make myself a 1/2 a cup of Quaker Oat's Old-Fashioned oatmeal, with some honey and a little bit of ground cinnamon. It keeps me full a lot longer than instant oatmeal does...all because there are no added sugars and it's low on the glycemic index (so it takes longer to digest).
