Oatmeal

I just bought the Weight Control type, I think its Quaker. Low sugar and you just need to add boiling water. I like it. Many will say to get plain, but that takes 10 min to make.

I am thinking of starting to eat oatmeal for breakfast. Does anyone have a favorite brand, or a favorite flavor?

Good choice to eat in the morning, just be sure to eat some protein with it

If you want plain, get the kind in the big round can that says , not . they look basically the same, just get the 1-minute kind and that's pretty much the same as the little packets you get in the box.

I plan on getting some oats to mix up with a bit of whey and skimmed milk as a new breakfast addition to my diet (porridge basically). Is it just the quaker oats (or similar) that I need for making porridge?

Sorry about my being clueless but, I am a man after all ;)

I eat oatmeal almost every morning along with 2 large eggs scrambled . I eat plain, off brand instant oatmeal that I find I like better than Quaker. I put 2 teaspoons sugar and 4 packets of Sweet & Low with a little milk on 1.5 servings size to make it palatable.

I get the old fashionned kind. I add it to boiling water and cook it a few minutes, never 10 or whatever the directions say! I usually add chopped apple to mine.

I eat oatmeal every morning as of late.

1/2 cup rolled oats
water
1 tbsp of peanut butter crunchy
low carb high protien shake choc

304 calories of such yummy goodness!
29 carbs
(with shake) 22 grams of protien
and 9 grams of fat

Damn i love that stuff, want some right now!

I bought the 1 minute kind (thanks Angel), still says to add oats to boiling water on stove. F that, I just boil water in the kettle for oatmeal and tea. Use blueberries only. I am gonna try peanut butter, good idea leip.

i have either 40 or 80 grams of oats every morning. i also grind them up into a powder to use in shakes with protien powder

Guys.. saving the 5 minutes is not worth it.. Get real oats. Those instant oats are robbed of so many nutrients by the time you digest them, you might as well skip them all together.
Plain oats are what you want.

I just got some real oats where it says i have to cook it with water for 10 minutes....how do i make it with milk, just add milk after cooking it?
sorry if that sounds weird, first time making oatmeal
